Worked on updating my ignition,

New dizzy from Toyota, and fitted it with pertronix.

@Martyt try looking at your high beam switch, may be crude. Mine acted weird on my JW Speakers until I worked the high beam switch a few times, now they work great

Will do. Of course when I jiggle fuse block all my lights work. Bad grounds are my demons. I think I will replace fuse block and get one from SOR. Will check high/low switch as well.

Black will make it heat up in there... looks like you’re in a warm place.

This weekend, I installed a DUI HEI dizzy with all the wiring fixin's. Finally got the water temp sensor and electric choke wired up. Got my 40 tuned up pretty nicely, and It's running good as far as I can tell.

Next on the list is a rear night light that's no workie, and a horn that's giving me trouble, and some body work. I'm also going to install some ultra bright white back lights in the dash so I can see the instrumentation better at night.

Things are rolling along nicely!

What tinted bedliner coating did you use ? ... And what is the actual color of tint (actual Sky Blue) ?

For that price, you almost could have installed disc brakes all around.

On a different cruiser maybe.

This truck is a 1967. Ball and claw axle so everything but the 3rd would have to be replaced.

No booster either so discs without a booster.

Or add a booster. And adapter.

Or just spend the money and time to keep a piece of living history original.

I choose the later.

Sometimes when I have time to kill, I go into the garage and see what I can clean up. I've found that orange citrus paint stripper eats the cheap-s##t paint the first owner painted all over the interior, but won't eat the good paint if any is left underneath. First was the glovebox door, today the transfer case shifter.
