Was supposed to be getting my *new* 2000 LC ready for CM, but the :princess: mentioned that her 2003 LX470 had a weird vibration/noise coming from the back...so a quick drive confirmed that rear brakes were toast, so spent Saturday swapping on the "summer" wheels and tires, doing a rear brake job, and replacing the driver's door sensor *again*...really need to clean her seat belts so they retract so she doesn't slam the seat belt on the sensor!

Finally yesterday I got to wrench on my new 2000...new tires, new TJM front bumper and winch, did not have enough time to run the electrical wire and fuse box for the HAM, but hope to do that tonight since I leave for Moab in the morning!!!!:bounce::bounce2::bounce::bounce2:

Four new OEM shocks and new front end sway bar end links and the old girl is riding proper once more.

Contour HD camera mount for a nice driver POV on the trails. Just got back from a few days of trail riding and got some pretty cool footage.

Just received my 2004 LC with 78,000 miles...have had a lot of toyota trucks over the years but have always wanted a 100 and finally found the right one to make my dd. I pulled off the running boards this weekend (though it took me a lot longer to accomplish than I'd like to admit!) I read that the front passenger bolts were the worst but I had a horrible time with the rear driver side because of the body-mount being in the way.

I'm in St. Louis...anyone reccommend a local shop to help with a lift?

Thanks all and look forward to being a participant and not just a lurker!

Full break job, calipers and rotors, front and rear (OEM), packed bearings, greased spindle bearings (Slee tool), and flushed the entire system. Thanks to Sam Stewart for the parts!

I decided to stick with OEM for durability. All of the rotors were original, 151,000 miles and still in spec. I figure these new rotors will be good for another 150,000 miles.

Here's a shot of what the brake fluid looked like...

How old was the fluid? It should be done every 2 years or you could get corrosion from the water.

Installed new serp belt tensioner at 209k after hearing some chirp. Not sure why I overlooked this on my recent major service with steering rack, alternator, and lift install. Not difficult, but I would have rather paid .5 hours to my mechanic during the 90k than the 2.5 hours I took to mosey through it. The tensioner was definetely shot. Hoping the fan clutch holds on a couple more years!

Refurbished the sway bar bushings and got my EMS mid pipes and cat back installed. Truck actually sounds like it has a V8 under the hood.

YouTube...please!!

Could we get details (ahem..cost) and a sound clip of the exhaust mod?

Oh and I installed a TJM bull bar and Hella lights (from ntsaint) havent wired the lights in yet. Looks awesome

I had my EMS midpipes and exhaust installed last week, I think it was about 2.5 hours of labor.

Replaced the driver side low beam globe in 1 month.
Bended the clip what holds the H1 globe into position. Hopefully this will keep it in better contact with the earth as the base of the globe is the earth.
Also used some corrugated split tubing to tidy up the wiring in the engine bay.
