Recently put some new shoes on my LX. I went with the General Grabber AT-X in 285/75R16. They are really quiet. Also installed the Precision LED interior lighting kit from their black Friday sale. I still have a lot to do.
How do you like the LED kit? Any feedback?

Swapped in Lexus door panels, rear seats, center console armrest top, center console panel, and 3 out of 4 window switches. My truck was family with dogs owned and the interior was very tatty. The mixed Lexus/Toyota wood look is gonna bug me until I can figure out how to swap to the Lexus main dash console and I can find a driver's window switch. The three dial Toyota climate control won't fit the Lexus dash console.

Installed a 70lb sand bag in the cargo area. Determining if extra weight will help my stiff suspension until I install bumpers. Prob need another sand bag lol.
They are easy to install and only 4 bucks a bag.

You may find you'll need a few more. I think I 'installed' about 400lbs of extra cement weight when trying to break in a set of heavy coils

I fixed a broken rear abs/speed sensor. I spliced it and reattached with a quick solder to see if it works. At first the LX traction light came on and it shuddered for about 30 yards and I reset the battery again, idled it and drove it for 5 miles and the lights went of on the next start up! They have been off for 3 days & almost 400 miles so far so good!

It's so good to not have warning lights!

How long did it take to break? After you removed the weight was the ride any better?

So far I like it. I haven't spent much time in it after dark lately, but they aren't too bright, but much cleaner light and a lot brighter than the stock bulbs. I could try to get some pics if you want, but they would be crappy iphone quality.

@ClassyJalopy, I have been kicking around installing a new headunit with carplay and android auto. I was holding off due to all of the threads about wiring issues with the amp. My LX is also a 98 so I figured I would ask if you ran into any trouble installing it or had to do anything special to get it to work. Was it just plug and play with an adapter? Thanks.

Well, in my case it was a scenario where I was accidentally sent the wrong coils, so it was a matter of swapping in new ones to remedy.

But I could have definitely loaded it up more to have softened the ride even further.

I bypassed the amp under the seat. The head unit now owers the speakers directly.
The sub woofer is no longer connected.

At the head unit, i had to cut off the factory harness plug and crimp each individual wire to the wire loom provided with the headset.

I followed this excellent write up and everything went smoothly

More of a “for” rather than a “to”, but it’s new bedroom is almost complete. Just interior stuff left.

Also trying to decide what color to paint the bumpers. They have a bunch of scuffs on the corners that I want to take care of. I'm thinking either white to match the rest of the truck, or do a darker silver (similar to rims on 06 and 07's) and paint the trim and rims to match the silver.

Here is my before/after going from OE silver(ish) to color-matched white. I did both bumpers and belt molding with color-matched rattle can but, since, both bumpers have been professionally painted after minor collisions/insurance claims.

Actually, the front bumper got hit again last week and needs another re-do.
