Did some further field testing on the yodaTEQ Gull Wing Door

The Gull Wing Door replaces the rear window allows easy access to your load area via the side of your vehicle.

Very nice. When does production start?

You probably need cold weather testing. I'm in Iowa and the weather here would be perfect for it. Rain, sleet, snow, you name it! ;)

And I have failing rear window seals so it would be perfect!

finished my suspension install on my '95

Your rear tires and the spare are on the rim backwards. They are supposed to look like the fronts with the two lug pattern facing outward. Trucks looking good though!

Just finished up my seat not moving back or forth because of 2 things .First I replaced the cap and sealed it shut . then I took the 2 screws off the plastic piece and took out the plastic gear inside that was worn down flat in the middle ,so it wasn't turning at all . Instead of spending 70.00 on a new part I took my small bur and drilled a hole a little smaller than the width of the gear that was left untouched on both sides plastic gear ,There is no need for a plastic gear ,It should have been metal. I cut 25 small stainless steel rods I use to make clasps around teeth to hold partials in the mouth with . I used the same size as the hole I cut . I put a small arch in the rods to raise them up in the middle so they would be at the same height as the ends that were untouched my the other gear bar that the white cap holds in place . Then I mixed up a runny mix of acrylic and surrounded the rods I had in place . Once the acrylic hardened I took my disk and cut in some groves all the way around . I could have just added acrylic with out the rods but I though it would make the repair last a lot longer . Here are some pictures .

Just to add another two cents: The replacement parts are not even close to $70. http://gamiviti.com/html/products_seatparts.html

Thanks ToyotaDon I'm saving that link . I'm going to order one and cast it into metal . I noticed the metal piece that this gear fits over has groves so I'll have to mark alignment , burn the old one off and bang the new one on to make the groves in the plastic before I cast it .But it will make things a lot easier than waxing every worn gear back in place .

Replaced the exhaust gasket, bolts and nuts between the cats. The old gasket had disintegrated and one bolt was missing. The other bolt was so worn an 11 mm fit on it. The new bolt is 14 mm. Took the grinder to the old one to get it off.

And a beer for such a difficult job well done.

i bought this 80 a while back with a "blown" motor as either a swap candidate or a parts truck. Got it up on the lift and this is what I found. If you're going to throw a rod, may as well go ahead and do it right :) Wont even trust the head on this one.

Good catch! I hadn't even noticed. Guess I'll take it back in to Discount.
I've had this happen twice at Discount with my MTR's. Once I made it home and had to go back.

 There is even a label on them "this side out" My friend mounted his backwards too. I gave crap about it until he finally fixed.

How does something like that even happen? Running without oil? Redlining all day long?

I drove ~3 hours to Toronto, parked it. Flew from Toronto to @Tapage land (AKA Panamá), slept, then hopped on another plane to land in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. It's a tad warmer here than in Canada, hope my 80 doesn't freeze while I'm gone. Down here training the Fire fighters how to use their new boat. (The big one, not the little one attached to it!)
