Swapped out the 285/76-16 Grabber A/T & factory wheels for a set of 255/85-16 KM2 on Steel Tacoma wheels. 1" difference in BS tucks them under the truck more which is what I was looking for. Next step in flare removal and monstaliner on the dark gray of the 2 tone & up over the fender wells.

New wheels and tires as well as a complete break job. I hate doing breaks...

We just picked up our 95 from a mechanic friend last night. After performing a head gasket job a few months ago, the cam sprockets and chain guides grenaded. I picked up a pair of barely used Hankook ATMs from a local dismantler and had them installed on the front. We'll get another pair of new shoes in a couple of weeks for a full set. I just performed the CDL mod and the 7-pin mod while I was at it. I stole 92 seat sliders from my son's part out truck and may go swap out the inop electric seat sliders still this afternoon. I'll finish my rusty, partially fabbed and (courtesy of daughter) broken front bumper. I had only tacked on the sides and she hit the RF corner on something prior to blowing the head gasket. She won't be driving the truck anymore...

Installed new driver side window rubber. It took me a lot longer than I thought I read it would take. It took me two hours.

I fixed my front passenger side seat . The long screw bar was turning on the right side but not the left . The first thing I noticed was a small white cap that I thought was a stop cap to let the seat know it was as far back as it could go , But thats not what the cap does at all . That little cap with threads and a phillips head on the end of it is what made the seat stop turning the left bar . What happens is the white cap works loose and the square female end moves back and disconnects from the bar that fits into it from the other side of the seat. There is a space on the inside of the white cap that fits over the metal gear . You have to push the metal gear in the direction of the screw in cap to make sure it fits into the female part of the cap .While keep pressure on the gear from the square end tighten the white cap down as far as it will go . I put a little blue loctite on the threads and I also made a cap from some lab putty that sets up hard but easy to cut once its mixed with a catalyst , Just to keep the screw cap from working it self loose again . I tried to get some Pictures . next fix will be the plastic gear inside the part.

Parked it at work nose to nose to a Heep with stock suspension and a winch who appears to be under the impression that he's some kind of recovery vehicle.

Install the OME lift kit from Slee. What a difference in ride quality from the the worn out stock suspension. The rear took about 2hrs, front took 30mins, and the casters took about 3hrs because we stopped for lunch then had to run my work to use the 40 ton press. The 12 ton press just couldn't do it.

Couple of the weekends ago but here is my OEM dorkel installed for the extreme Southern California weather and puddles. Plenty of help from NLXTACY and DR. Gil and the only place had a big enough revet gun for the job was harbor freight! Got it from Ranma21 for the same price as Safari dorkel.

Darth Vader is on top!

I really need a real roof rack to balance things out so Darth Vader doesn't look too odd.

Fitted new rear shocks & steering damper, fixed dodgy plug on UHF and added extension speaker, went for a day trip with a few mates out to some old mines in the area, we've had a bit of rain, so plenty of water around and tracks were rather washed out in places! Gave the new shocks a good stretch, the 80 made everything look easy, quite a few jealous comments from the Nissan fanbois! :D May have a rear wheel bearing on the way out, bit of play on the DS, so ordered a replacement and I'll swap it as a precaution...

That exact dorkle is pretty much what keeps mine from fitting in the garage too.

OK, .....OK....I Know. The Jeep has been my DD for about 10 years up until I got the 80 in 2012. Now, to show you even MORE blasphemy..... How did I get the 80 home after it puked? See attached...... I'm sorry, but it had to be done......
The old Jeep has given excellent service, (251K) so to reward it, I have given it to our 15 YO son to kill off.......

Don't feel bad. My DD is a Jeep most of the time.

This is on my list. Waiting for warmer weather. It looks like a PITA.

Just finished up my seat not moving back or forth because of 2 things .First I replaced the cap and sealed it shut . then I took the 2 screws off the plastic piece and took out the plastic gear inside that was worn down flat in the middle ,so it wasn't turning at all . Instead of spending 70.00 on a new part I took my small bur and drilled a hole a little smaller than the width of the gear that was left untouched on both sides plastic gear ,There is no need for a plastic gear ,It should have been metal. I cut 25 small stainless steel rods I use to make clasps around teeth to hold partials in the mouth with . I used the same size as the hole I cut . I put a small arch in the rods to raise them up in the middle so they would be at the same height as the ends that were untouched my the other gear bar that the white cap holds in place . Then I mixed up a runny mix of acrylic and surrounded the rods I had in place . Once the acrylic hardened I took my disk and cut in some groves all the way around . I could have just added acrylic with out the rods but I though it would make the repair last a lot longer . Here are some pictures .

well i thought the fun was all over, then got a call to say an 80 was bogged about 40 km out of town and was having a bit of drama getting loose, broken a winch rope & snatch strap and a heep + chevy silverlala couldn't snatch it. so off we went, found a bit of a mess, tried to pull it clear on 2 x single line, but no go, so ran double off my winch, anchored me to a GQ, and the GQ to another 80 :p (can't stop an 80 with a pootrol!) and skull dragged it out! bit of shovelling from the bystanders and it was all go again :D
