^^^^^^ how the he'll that guy flop his rig right there. I am assuming went too far left up the bank....but why it was waaaaaay wide enough there. ??? Bad driver?

Ya...that was just the exit section of the course. BUT.....It's a deep hair pin coming into it though from a pretty technical rock section and if you take it a little too aggressively you will climb up the bank and risk a roll over. There were quite a few near flops right there. Because it was a timed event the vehicle damage throughout the day was quite something....but these are all good drivers. I'll post up some clips when I get it edited.

Going to save my head and don't have to use Vice Grip pliers anymore. Rear hatch lift supports.

How are those lift supports - would you recommend them? And do they fit stick mounts?

Watched a hail storm beat the snot out of it. Was able to get the 200 inside, but the 80 had to stay outside. Pic of the hail I picked up showing average size

Hood and roof are beat up a bit ... GF says it adds character ... Will try to get a good pic tomorrow

Took the above pic 30 minutes after the storm passed

I feel your pain. Same thing happened here on March 2, 20112. The 80 took $3,800 in damages on the hood, roof, fenders, broken windshield and destroyed the plastic covering on all the window trim. The clear coat was failing, had one small dent on the rear quarter but otherwise was flawless.

Holy hail! It got dark here in my neck of the woods but no Hail thank goodness!

I have a friend who is a dreamer and swears that he is onto a new design.... he is looking for a hail damaged car thinking that the body being indented like a golf ball will be more efficient......... crickets..... haha

@ppc. My hood looks about the same, will try to get a pic today.

@concretejungle. I was hoping we would not get hail. Was finishing up the sliders on the 80 when the storm rolled in. I thought it had passed and was back outside, then I literally heard the hail coming up the street. Got the 200 in the garage and then it hit hard and hailed for a good 10 minutes or so with winds at 40-50 I would guess. We'll have to get the house roof looked at. I had to replace a shattered vent fan outlet on the side of the house last nigh. The aluminum roof on our RV looks like a bunch of kids with ball peen hammers were turned loose on it .....

EDIT: Learned that taking pics of hail damage aint easy ....

Myth Busters already proved it. Does make it more efficient by reducing drag. Tell your "friend" he can start dreaming about something else...like Hydrogen :flipoff2:

Rripped a fender flare off, but the scenery sure was nice

Finished installing my sliders from Alabama, kids love them, wife can get in easier now, and I have a reason to go wheeling again.

Added my CDL switch but didn't do the 7-pin yet, too hot outside now.

Took my son wheeling this morning then let him spray off all the mud when we got home. Typical weekend day. Then wipped up my 4x4 labs dual jerry can holder while my son was napping this afternoon. Still have to finish weld it. Its just taked up now.

Mk2 Golf GTI. The mounting is weird, but doable. There will be a fairly significant amount of cutting/welding.

I couldn't believe how good the condition was, couldn't pass them up for $300. The construction quality/support puts the stock Toyota seats to shame.

Yup, I'm a old Mark 2 guy. No longer thank god. But the seats are amazing. The recaro trophy's is by for the best oem seat I have sat in. That's only if your thin framed like myself or you might have a hard time fitting inbetween the bolsters.
