Met up with a friend and cleaned out the sunroof drains since we are going into the rain season…figured I’d get a jump on them AND the pinch welds.

No pics taken so here’s one from last year…

Brake fluid flush today. Got my kids to help me and observe what to do with the bleeder valves. No idea how old the fluid was, but dayum was it dark!

Interesting! In your photo one can see that the battery has a decal that says "Sealed non-spillable Lead Acid Battery." I don't see "AGM" on it.

Thanks!
But on the left side of the battery it has AGM in the model number...

Yes the hatch lights are on a switch dome lights use the factory switch in case you need to go dark. View attachment 3746447
Just installed a pair of these in mine too....love the red, but they came with clear lenses too. I have the red Meso Customs in my 4Runner, so nice to have some continuity between my daily and 80 fun rig!

Continued brake work after new booster and mc last weekend.
Hit a couple dirt lots then actuated the abs via a thread I found on here. Worked well since I dd my 80 and live in an urban area.
Then replaced my LSPV as it was found faulty according to the fsm. Then reassembled spring with rebuild kit (04477-60010).
Then added @landtank drop kit but only installed the frame side not the axle as guided my Rick as my lift is barely 2”. Then Bled. Now to test drive! View attachment 3743548View attachment 3743549View attachment 3743551View attachment 3743552View attachment 3743553
Whelp after replacing lspv and installing drop kit then bleeding, the brakes are actually worse. I mean the pedal feels more squishy.
Maybe my lspv was seized with piston up, forcing the most possible to the rear. And now the new one acutely works and is proportioning the load to the rear less now, creating a more spongy feeling. 🤷‍♂️ Or there is still air in the system.
Man, brakes are fun in an 80.

How did you bleed the LSPV? Disconnect the lever and bleed with it all the way up, then bleed with it all the way down?

It is possible that you may have over-traveled the brake master cylinder during the bleeding process and trashed the seals. Old masters have an internal wear pattern that can damage the worn-in seals when the piston goes past where it has historically stopped. Been there, done that.

Great advice. But I replaced the booster and mc two weekends ago.
