Got both axles and all linkage pulled. Used the @TRAIL TAILOR press dies to get all bushings out.
Worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY to have the correct dies.
Getting everything ready for sandblast, then doing blitz black on everything with an epoxy primer under.
Cerakote DIY with the exhaust and turbo parts.
12 weeks til Alaska.
Tcase gears are in. Just waiting on a few seals to button it up!

Not exactly a happy scenario, but snow cleared enough to start addressing the wrecked truck sitting at a friend's place. Front end shifted enough to tear a hose off heater control valve, created some clearance issues with the fan, and split the trans cooler. Reconnected hose with some finagling, removed fan shroud and trimmed blade tips a hair to clear lower rad hose, removed cooler and will just connect the hoses. Goal is simply to move it under its own power to get it out of the driveway. I think she'll do that.

Pulled DC front shaft to sell, and swapped in original.

Pulled rear seats from storage and sold them locally the other day, to a young guy (says a 35 year old) at the dealership who has a pretty rough 80. He may take the whole thing eventually, and combine them to make a decent truck.

Not the smoothest start, but once she was running and spit out a bunch of stanky exhaust from sitting all winter, the engine still purrs like always. Had to bend part of the bumper out of the way, but seems to drive, shift and steer just fine, considering how bent the front is. Need to top off trans fluid. Also amazed the rad isn't leaking at all… considering I had to remove the shroud, temps were fine for idling. Didn't seem to want to pass 190

I see. I never had a problem with them, they are actually very fairly priced too (for example the belt combo kit). Thanks for the thread though I didn't see it.
If you think his parts were priced good you should find a real dealer to buy from, save you bunch money and you get the parts you bought.

Replaced the master window switch trim. This one was sourced from Aus for a pretty penny since the usual Middle East sources didn't have stock. The original had it's lifespan stretched a bit with zip ties, and glue, but it finally bit the dust.

Also commemorated a literal "milestone" with some new decor, thereby increasing horsepower by at least 1 horsey.

Jealous, I keep taking mine apart trying different solutions.

The value in Wits End was that they sold you all the parts needed in a kit. Nothing more frustrating than buying a thermostat from your local dealer only to find that it doesn't include the gasket.

Do it, it's incredibly easy. Welding machines make is super easy to setup. When I got started I took a welding class at a local forge, was like $75 for an hour and a half of hands on training, learning techniques etc. Bought a welder, welded some scrap to learn the machine, watched Weldmonger on youtube and the rest is history.
Yes, I want to take a welding class or two. Learning on scrap would be great.
