Ok so I reset the fuel trims by disconnecting the battery and after getting the temp up to normal running, arojnd 176F or 80C, the fuel system won't close. stft and ltft are both 0 and not moving.

I tried driving it around and it would struggle and I hear some pops or woofs.
The popping might be the gas being ignited by the heat of the exhaust.

Todays quick repair was something no one will notice but me.
All my flares are intact but the drivers rear was loose and missing the rubber strip. Drove me crazy. Ordered clips at work. Saw a post that had a part number for the rubber. It was actually in stock and damn near my color code.
The forward most “brace” was broken and apparently this had been replaced a repaired prior “junkyard writing”. So added a lot of an epoxy and reinstalled.

Looks great. What did you use to glue the trim strip to the flare?
I had some 5min general epoxy in my toolbox. Apparently that section of flare is still available so if it fails I’ll go that route.

Still fixing small issues post 1FZ swap. First was the terrible power steering leak fixed with a new high pressure line, or maybe just with the set of new copper washers it came with. Also successfully charged the AC, which works! It was empty for a couple years and open for a month or so. Glad this compressor is good.

I had neglected to connect the oil sender, which is one of these connectors in the same harness branch as the AC clutch switch wire. Anyone know what the other one is?

Your sender has two connections

Given your flex, I would recommend you to upgrade to the new 90 degree gauge
I'm actually interested it see where my pucker factor is. I have a feeling she gets tippy somewhere in the low 30s, but i honestly have no idea.

Now I'll have (horribly inaccurate) data!

Been working on the FJ60 the last few days prepping it for a 4Plus rear bumper. I was down to the cross member, had the rivets out and it was loose but just could not knock it out. I hooked up the 10K Warn on the 80 series and applied some serious pull to it. Still would not come loose. Finally noticed a couple of small tack welds that were impeding progress. Once the welds were dealt with the winch pulled it on out. If I'd noticed the tack welds to begin with I would not have had to utilize the winch on the 80.

Nothing like bringing a gun to a knife fight...

I make posts such as this in the hope of brightening your day. I can just see you shuffling around in that musty old museum just waiting for the next bevy of visitors, but with the foreboding of having to answer once again, how these are not just a bunch of old jeeps. In between the brief periods of edumukating visitors you'll sit in the kitchen having yet another cup of weak Maxwell House from one of those undersized styrofoam cups.

Yes, I hope my post brought, perhaps, a sliver of sunshine into your day.

@godwin……. ” you'll sit in the kitchen having yet another cup of weak Maxwell House from one of those undersized styrofoam cups.”

You forgot to mention Dans multiple trips to the bathroom after drinking that undersized cup of coffee. 😊
