I'm sure prolonged exposure to beach sand would contribute to corrosion, but this was the first and only time I've driven on the beach or the dunes. Still, when I got home I got under the truck and everything a good blast with the air compressor to get as much sand out of crevices as possible, and then gave it a good wash down with salt-away. I think that's going to do fine.
I have seen an ad on IG a few times for a product from Australia that attaches to the frame and uses your garden hose to flush the frame. Unfortunately I can not recall the name of the product, but it was well thought out and looked effective.

Put the new RCV fronts to work on Yinsang (fka Chinaman) Gulch. Snow and ice made some optional lines impossible and the ‘easy’ line…very interesting. My steering wheel had been just slightly cocked after replacing the tierod’s TREs - slightly bent my Slee heavy duty relay rod backing off an ill advised line attempt on Whale’s Tale and now the steering wheel is perfectly centered :hillbilly:.

We kept the 3rd gen Runner mostly to the easier lines. But not always - this is my youngest son’s rig and his older brother is driving here. But it did well on 35s and rear locker - this trail is very tight in spots and the 3rd gen body size can often wiggle through stuff I am going over.

This is coming down what I’m going up in the second vid below.

Some vid. In the first one you can see the how the normally grippy granite was slick even without snow - cold and wet tires don’t heat up even when you spin them a bit - if it doesn’t go where you pointed go where it went :).

I bought some new lights to put on my son's truck, but he blew up the motor and the truck is sitting at my brothers in Idaho. So I decided to try out the lights on the 80 until I can get my son's truck home to start work on the motor etc.

6.5" Trailblazer Driving Lights from LED-Colight. For an average size light they put out a lot of light and I dig the DRL. You can set up the DRL to be amber or white and can make it a turn signal also. I chose white DRL and no Turn Sig. Impressive little lights I think. Gonna be sweet on my kids truck. I'll be pulling these back off and moving them to my son's truck and keeping my 9" lasers on the cruiser.

I have purchased a bunch of different lights from these guys and they continue to impress me so I keep going back to them. My roof lights are also from them and the 9" laser spotlights I usually run on my bumper are from them. Because I have purchased a bunch from this company they sent me a message at the time I bought these Trailblazer lights and gave me a small discount and said I could share a link to get these light (and others) with a 15% discount. The link is on my Instagram @boxrocket_adventures if anyone is interested. Discount code for the Trailblazers is AdamTolman15. Code for anything else on there site is just AdamTolman.

I also tackled a bit of work on my rear bumper. Being 20 years old (DIY project) it has taken a beating. It was getting pretty rusty so I pulled it off to clean it up. I sanded it to bare metal and welded in some step pockets in the wings. Sprayed it with Raptor Liner and added some small LED turn signals since my 37" spare kinda blocks the passenger side taillight. Now I need to do the same with my swingouts.

HA!

A few know. I bought the rights to the Cruisin Offroad rear bumper and skidplate products. So this is the rear pictured.

I love my Cruisin Off Road skid plate. I think I was probably one of the last few to purchase from him.

Installed OME 2861/2862 springs. Replacing the completely shot shocks with OEM Tokico shocks this weekend.

You back in action Jason?!

P,

I'm doing a little more each day. The light stroke put me down more mentally than physically.

I can weld for about 3-4 hours now without the "SHAKES" kicking in on me. Today's work..

Hope Jan 1st I'll be back at a normal pace again.

Your site is down?

LX to LC Depo headlights. The passengers side aiming system was broken on my original so it'd point straight down. Also didn't have the rubber grommets so there's a ton of dust inside the housing. Bought a cheapo aftermarket ebay grill since I knew I'd have to dremel out the center to fit the lexus emblem. Grill took quite a bit of trimming to fit right but the end result is pretty good. Not a big fan of the clear glass but it's glass and I can see at night.
