Replaced the cdl position indicator switch and got the cdl and subsequent fr and rr lockers to engage! Abs light still didn’t come on though…

Lightpros installed, awesome setup. Mounted in the left rear quarter panel which is ideal for roof lighting. Ashtray insert from @NLXTACY was perfect solution. Mounted the CB and even have a nice 1 din cubby underneath it. Further looking, two sticks... that's odd. But awesome 🤩

I like them; they're definitely brighter than the 26 year old factory ones but not amazing. I think it was like $220 for the headlights from cars245, $30 in adapters (need a 9005 male to H4 female and 9006 male to H4 female), and $80 for the Land Cruiser grill (Depos won't work with LX grill without a lot of trimming). I do plan on retrofitting with with Morimoto projectors in the future.

Replaced Dobinson 3" flexi coils with Dobinson 3.5" VT coils, installed adjustable upper control arms and Landtank extended lower control arms.

are you joking?
There are quite a few listed on Facebook marketplace in Denver. Here’s a triple locked for $8K.

Yea but I’m a Canuck.

Can’t afford.

I ain’t letting go of the 62 for nothing.

That thing is going to carry my casket.
Yea when you get one right it becomes a pry it from my cold dead fingers affair.

Prospectively there is not much rationale to keeping my 80 but I love her so that’s that.

Found this on EBay,

Boring engine oil+filter change - oops, bit over 8k miles. Oh well, it does leak some oil past the valve stem seals so gets topped up 'enough' :)

All in prep for thanksgiving trip into the mojave preserve to enjoy some dirt. Last dirt fun was May when I did a short trip with younger son to oz for some camping in the west oz bush.

Last Mojave trip was Mar last year, so looking forward to a re-visit. Will meet up and spend a couple of days with older son in his 4wd exploring.

Definitely be cool nights out there.

cheers,

A decent break in the weather, so installed and bolted down my 'bed'. Plastic totes slip in under the platform - for food, cooking gear, etc etc. Will do that tomorrow. But at least the more cumbersome thing is in - I can move it in by myself, so not particularly heavy. The front of the platform bolts down using the existing rear PS seat bolts. Was comfy last year and for one person makes camping quick and easy. Tailgate for prep & cooking, all minimalistic and quick. This is only a 4 night outing vs 2 weeks last year - of course other than food quantity, you end up taking pretty well all the same stuff.
