Got the spare tire mount leveling kit installed. Much better! It should've been like this from the factory. We also spent Sunday chasing the last of the fall colors in the Ozarks. Met a friend in Jasper to pick up a pair of Hella 7" spotlights, spotted another 80 series at Kyle's Landing, and got a surprise "D" light appearance last night.
Took it to the trailhead for a ride. For anyone interested, coney flats look's to be open for a snow run. I would have thought it would be closed by now.
Thought about going up a bit but decided not to since I was running solo. View attachment 3469422
This was actually over the last two weekends. But I was very fortunate to meet up with Georg @orangefj45 and pick up this finely refreshed HF2AV that his shop completed for me: all new seals, gears, and Sumo 3.15:1 Crawl Gears. MAJOR DIFFERENCE!!!! Thanks @orangefj45
Been dealing with an air flow meter (AFM) issue with mine. It's been sitting for about a month waiting for Napa to send part back from PA. A1cardone is located out there and supposed to R&R it. Anyone know where I can get a good used AFM for 94 fzj80??

Machined an aluminum block and bolted it and their rack stash and to the delta swing out, all used existing 1/4” holes. Wanted to keep it high and tight and so far working great.
I'm sure prolonged exposure to beach sand would contribute to corrosion, but this was the first and only time I've driven on the beach or the dunes. Still, when I got home I got under the truck and everything a good blast with the air compressor to get as much sand out of crevices as possible, and then gave it a good wash down with salt-away. I think that's going to do fine.
