Also in Ahwatukee... small world
Awesome!

I need to visit some friends down there in the next year and I am thinking about making the long (and expensive) drive from Washington...if I do, we should all meet up and hit a few trails!

Decided to take the simple drawers I made a couple of weeks ago and finish them off full-out. Welded some simple handles out of threaded rod I had. I like the industrial look. The wife really likes the slide out "counter top." Ha.
your work is so good...How did you make it? Did you follow some plans? I would to make a platform form my 80 as well but I don't have the skills or creativity!

I have seen some general ideas of what people build here and I've got some decent woodworking skills that I've picked up over the years. So just some trial and error with measurements and what not. Here is a photo of it fully stained.

Sam!!! You'll meet T-Rexi when you come down soon! I need some assistance with her windows and a few other electrical items.;)
Man, I feel guilty. This truck is so clean, Matthew was more than reasonable and helpful on the transaction, and the rust is just isolated to one dogleg as he said. @Deathvalleypaul has one on the way! Aaron at Summit Transport got her here swiftly and safely. Are you referring to the Grunter turbo and other bits I've been saving for her? I fully support your Chevota dreams! Me, I'm rolling coal.

Truly a dream come true!💚
The underhood shots my man!

How long did this project take you from start to finish? I have a few days off in the summer, I would love to put something like this together. I think it would make car camping so much easier by folding down the 2nd row seats and having an instant bed.

Took me about 40 hours from start to finish, including paint and carpet the last set I built. Could have been done faster but I am picky about things looking clean and nice…. Next set I am likely gonna build this summer for my lx will take a few more hours as the additional features are going to take some time to engineer in place and make it all look nice.

Prepping to tow a 40 with the 80 tomorrow and needed the 60 to winch it on. This was after spending ca. 2 hours pulling, rebuilding, and reinstalling the stater on the 80. I'd forgotten the contortions needed to pull the starter. Afterwards thinking it wasn't that bad, but it also wasn't 2F starter easy to yank.

Got out of the hospital, then did this. Thankfully everyone was ok. 0 damage to mine.
