Tow rig, 400+ miles from AL to SC. I wish to remain ignorant of the mileage, just knowing that it's hovering around 10 mpg is enough and if it dropped to single digits I don't want to know.

I have headlights that suck a lot less!

Diode Dynamics SL1’s in the low beams (9006)

Had to modify the retainer rings on the back of the headlights (file down the three humps about half way)

No blinding other drivers 👌

I washed mine... LOL!!!

Relocated the A pillar grab handle mount to get the Scan Gauge up higher. I had it connected to the lower mount and it interfered with the handle. With a rig this tall that grab handle gets a lot of use. It blocks the sun visor so this may not be the last configuration.

I have mine mounted on the top of the steering column works nicely there
Mine came mounted on the steering column. I was getting an annoying green reflection at night right in the center of my field of view. Like a useless and distracting HUD. It may move again but for now I like it where it is.

Ah I made an aluminum "hood" for mine to remedy that same reflection. 3m taped it on and voila

Fixed an annoying rattle of my catalytic converter on my sliders.

After mounting the sliders, I noticed the mounting brackets and bushings on either side of the muffler were missing (would explain the loud clunking of the exhaust pipe in the rear as it is routed directly over the frame rail.

Not sure if this is the best "bracket" alternative, since the new bushing is already pretty stressed by the weight of the muffler. I still have the rear one to put on, so I am hoping this alleviates some of the pressure on both bushings. If not, I guess I will be replacing these bushing in the relatively near future...or continuing my quest for replacement OEM brackets.

All in all, the rattle went away for only $20 at home depot.

I give it a week with the stress on that rubber bushing. Maybe two.

Well, sometimes I put dents in it and sometimes it gets more welding gas to fix dem dents...other times it's just time to dangle my legs over the tailgate with my niece. That's why I call it a truck, not a car...

Any pics? Does it interfere with the various buttons on the SG2? Very interested because the glare on the windshield at night is annoying AF.

Finished up the rear main replacement, oil pan sealing, transmission bushing, extended diff breathers, all new OEM ujoints with new hardware, fancy wits end diff drain and fill plugs, and an oil change.

Truck’s been down for over a week while I had to source a new torque converter. Total PITA. Finally resorted to a used one when the correct reman unit could not be found. Normally, I’m big on only OEM but I couldn’t afford Mr. T’s asking price. Not sure what it’s called but the button-thing on the crank side of the converter was broken and fell out when we separated the engine and trans. I’m the second pic, this was the first of 2 incorrectly sized torque converters received from National parts sellers.

Glad it’s over. If I had it to do over again, I would just add the minimal amount of oil that leaked as a result of the slight failure of the rear main seal.

Fuuuuuu..... You post this just as I'm admitting to myself that I'm about to have to go back in to resolve the leak in my all nice and supposedly regasketed and resealed engine. Of course of all the places I could have screwed up and and had a leak, it HAS to be the rear main or the oil pan bridge. At least my TC is good. Did you pull the engine, or leave the engine in and pull the tranny ? No way I want to pull my engine again, so I'm planning to pull the transmission. Of course if I do that, it would only make sense to regear the transfer case while I'm in there.
