Realized that when Thermocure says it dissolves rust, that means my rear heat hardlines apparently.

I think most of us have this issue, I'm in the same boat, I well be in hiding when the bills come for this month.

Not anymore  but now I just send her the money direct and have none for slinkys  - but I still have my kids, peace of mind and the 80, Jeep and M5 so life's all good.

just Did front crankshaft seal and oil pump cover gasket it went smoothy, I used the wits end kit also didn't have a 300# torque wrench on hand. I just used 250# one clicked it a couple times, then hit it with a 24" breaker bar with a 3 foot pipe and put all my weight on it about 5 times. i should be good right?

250 is a little far off to be reliable. If you can get a 300, then go about 15 degrees past that 300 click, you will be good.

It’s best to be happy, 😉
There’s a old saying that says
It’s cheaper to keep her. 🤷‍♂️

Not really an 80, but nonetheless, getting ready to assist @FJ60Cam in putting this bad boi together...

I saw the vacuum port on the distributor and figured you were playing with a different rig... Not many people in the 80 group see the extra cam lobe for the mechanical fuel pump... but we all have it.

Sometimes it’s easier to go over it than break out the saw. Some of the “roads” in that forest have gone so long with out use that I’d have the saw out 9 of every ten minutes. That’s when I start pushing through instead.

Mostly finished up my 4x4labs kit bumper and also started sorting out my trail spares kit...got a driveshaft from @Deathvalleypaul last weekend, so lubed up the U-joints and strapped it into place (thinking I should get some hose clamps to back up the heavy duty zipties.)

Tomorrow I'm hoping to fab up a quick and dirty MTB rack and also the second swing arm to hold 2x Waterbricks + propane tank + garden sprayer...did some wood prototyping to validate the general idea today. (Actual implementation will be rotated 90º from this pic, so double sided w/ water + cylinder holder.)
