^ I was thinking the same thing but thought better not to say anything since she's probably 5 years younger than my own daughter

You sound like one proud father!

Decided to quit procrastinating and get my butt in gear and fix a stuck caliper. You have to love neglected 80s ... I hope there is a special place for owners who take/had this truck and decided to drive/maintain it with as minimal care as possible. Anyways... after fighting with the caliper bolts and ordering pads, rotor and caliper from autozone, the caliper did not fit right. Mud guys told me to hit NAPA. Boy was NAPA on point! Picked it up and was able to pop it in. It even came with the stone shield which autozone/aap did not mention. Rotor is new but started to rust after a 2-3 weeks as I left it on when I was dealing with finding the caliper and it got some surface rust. Torqued to spec. Filled the caliper and bled the air out and she is driving / stopping fine again. Time to shop for some new tires . See that date code? First pic is when the old caliper (RIP OEM Toyota) piston was so far stuck, it was gouging into the old rotor. (Prob seized bolts or..?) second pic is with the stone guard which auto zone and advance never would have included (but this is why NAPA rules)

Someone actually got video of me wheeling last weekend so I thought I'd share a couple!

This is the same hill as the other cruiser:

Here's the same small obstacle as the other cruiser:

Only took three evenings to run wires, drill and mount lamps, and align lights. PITA getting wires run into the dash! Eventually, I plan to replace the switch over to an OEM fog light switch.

I found this Hella 700FF kit on A.mazon for less than $65. The only other expense was a fuse tap from O’Reilly.

Replaced the u joints on the front driveshaft, I believe they were original, here's one of the caps. Had a hell of a time getting them apart even with a 3 ton press ended up having to grind down the outside on a couple to get them out (with a hammer). Anyone have any a trick to make this easier for when I do the rear?

Bigger hammer?

What he said. If you've ever watched them do it at a driveshaft shop, they beat the living daylights out of them. I'm talking axe style hammer swings...

We went to Quartzite, AZ with some friends who said they wanted to "Jeep". WE spent one whole morning at RV swap meet and then finaly hit a brushy, bumpy, dusty trail. I got me desert pinstripes all tuned up. The it rained slightly.

I wish there was an upcycle program for old RTT covers other than Tepui... 😕
I've seen some enterprising Internet folks rebuild those PVC covers into cool and durable bags for Coleman type stoves or tool bags. Maybe find a local with a sailboat sewing machine and see what they can create!

Got out a little on Sunday
