It's not the weekend just yet, but I brought her home tonight!

Tires need a balance, it shakes a bit above 65mph, other than that I forget how cramped the cabin is compared to my Tundra, and the lack of arm rest space lol

Needs a new passenger headlight and windshield, you can't see it in the picture but there is a giant spidering across the entire glass, safe to drive but obnoxious

Glad to have another 80 again!

Replaced the plates with Delta arms. My caster went from positive 3.75/4 to an even 4.25. I could feel the difference immediately.

I also got my stock wheelbase back as I noticed the plates shortened it enough for my wide 16x10 wheels on 35s to rub a tiny bit on medium lock going in reverse one side only.

I just wish the Delta arms were avail before I got the plates as the plates require you to cut out some metal on the axle. I’ll eventually weld on some steel to tidy it up.

The caster plates aren't responsible for shortening your wheelbase - the wheelbase shrinks because of the change in radius arm angle due to the lift. It would happen with or without the caster plates. The Delta radius arms are longer to compensate for exactly this.

All I know is, I had zero rubbing before plates. After plates, rub. With arms, back to no rub ceteris paribus.

A spot of Cardboard Aided Design to work out what size AGM I can cram in the quarter panel. This is a slightly over dimension mock up of a 55ah AGM that I’m considering. The manufacturer lists the battery as 222 x 291 x 106 (HxWxD). This is 5mm oversize from that and should work.

next up the bracket!

@nickolai Can you share manufacturer name and model on the battery? My vote would be create a new thread if you can with a few photos once you get the battery and bracket in. Thanks!

Yip I will do. I’m looking at a Ritar RA12-55. Sometimes these are referred to as ‘railway batteries’. Most of the generic AGM manufacturers make a similar size. I’ve had good luck with the Ritars in the past.

One OEM license plate bulb called it quits after 23 years of shining a nice warm light over the gov plates. Ordered two new bulbs to take over duties (no LEDs, thx).

Rubber gasket was brittle and glued to the lens cover. Toyota really took care to seal these bulbs.

Thank you, bulbs.
