Working on some new projects but also getting the Weboost Drive Reach cell booster ready for some remote testing. Big decision right now will be about either making the antenna permanent or movable. Available now at HuddExpo.com

I bought 2 Highland Ladder racks as a cheap source for gutter mount feet

The side rails are 1/8" thick 1-3/4" angle iron, 72" long, and the cross bars are the half-height Unistrut. I like that I can pop the sliding nuts in anywhere I need a tie down point or to mount something. I have 10 crossbars spaced 7-13/16 on center, the crossbars are 50" long. I just drilled holes in the angle iron to match the Highland Feet, and the excess above the angle iron I will cut off before I paint everything

Installed twin Spal 12" push fans this weekend to combat heat soak on slow 4L type rock crawling in 100 F plus SoCal heat in conjuction with my Ron Davis 2 row alum. radiator + modded Aisin Green hub with 20k oil and 100F timming. Wired together on a 40amp fuse/relay to factory switch. Had to do some trimming on the factory grille to make fit. 2000 cfm make quick/easy work to lower coolant temp by 6-10 degree in just minutes with AC on full blast. Goal is to keep coolant temp in check between 190-200 F in low speed type wheeling where air circulation thru the radiator is limited and still able to keep AC running cold. So far, pretty happy with the result. Will do some real time testing in upcoming wheeling trip up in the Mojave

I bought 2 Highland ladder racks off Amazon. $53 and come with 4 feet. Half the price of Smittybilt feet
Awesome, I have been meaning to build a rack but I haven't yet because all the mounts I have found would cost more than the rack. I think I will go this route.

Did some more work on my roof rack and had a friend (pictured.. Thanks Darek) help me test fit it today. Just need to trim the mounting legs and paint it before final install
Niiiice! cant wait to copy you. The top design of the highland feet isnt bad, might wanna echo that after taking out a chunk. Slice off top, cut out 2" then weld or bolt through both plates.

Been a lot of head scratchin over my rack design, im dumping it. You gotta name it man! Keep us posted... here's to Budget builds :clap:and old fashion ingenuity

Helped out with the UTOR Expo (Utah Toyota Off Road) on Saturday. Cool local event put on by the UTOR club and Tony Divino Toyota and hosted by Snowbasin Resort. It has doubled in size every year and more and more vendors are participating, this year was the 4th year. I led one of the trail groups in the morning on a trail that is normally inaccessible because its part of the Snowbasin Resort property. Then participated on an Overland Essentials panel with a few other guys. Wasn't able to stick around for the rest of the expo but it was a good time.

That's. Tragic.

My newer and nicer cars stay on the street. Land Cruiser stays in the garage. Priorities.

Happened before I bought it, but i feel ya
What did you paint it with? Looks good
that’s just satin black spray paint, I have since sprayed high fill primer and am sanding it down, I think I might try and match the original grey
