Loaded the old girl up on my new car hauler this weekend for our 11-day trip to Moab and Ouray. We usually just drive the Cruiser out there but we're towing it with the new Tundra this year for giggles and more comfort. Plus, new truck vs 240,000-mile Land Cruiser in 100-degree temps from Missouri to Utah = tow with Tundra that has lifetime powertrain warranty. Ha. I installed Firestone Ride-Rite airbags on the Tundra last week and it levels out nicely with 40 psi in the bags. Fixed a couple of small A/C leaks on the Cruiser and charged it with some R-12 and it's blowing nice and cold for the trails. Our dog will appreciate that.
Nice set up! Hope you're ready for 9 MPG, but it is a very comfortable and cool ride. I drove to Moab this year, but the year before I towed.

Ha! Nice! Yah, I probably don't average 9 if I drive the Cruiser itself quite honestly. The comfort of the Tundra over the '93 Cruiser is night and day. I set the cruise all of the way across Kansas even when towing a trailer and Cruiser weighing around 7000 lbs.
Kansas sounds a lot flatter than the Sierras, so maybe you'll get into the 10's. Sounds like a fun trip, I'm jealous!
Yeah, but he'll be on the "11" on the boredom scale.......
Spent a few hours in the mountains with my Brother in law and our families over the weekend. Always good to get a little dirt therapy.

True. They’ve got a great stretch of I-70 though with regards to pavement quality. That, and the windmill generators are kinda fun. Lol.
Overall it's been great. Had it about 3 years now. Lately it's done a couple weird things like randomly reboot, but otherwise it's a good unit."Spirit of the Radio" NICE!!!! How you like that head unit?
Nice & clean... looking forward to the outcome of this project. Can’t take credit for the fab work or planning but I’ll be adding Tube work very soon to the center section.

Tcase crawler gears sure made a difference but this truck is still begging for something lower.
