Wonder who's this is? Checked the 60 section, looked to be seen last year, no one claimed it, but a few were bought

Just my opinion, but doesn't our market benefit from having vendors like North face interested in being part of our world, would we not benefit more from having some of these big companies wanting to be more involved. They see us as potential market, we see them as potential sponsors and advertising revenue for IH8MUD. Both somewhat selfish motives, but can be mutually beneficial

Jcardona, you should consider contacting them and asking for some freebies as they are making money on your picture, and mention that you would appreciate request for your permission as much as they would prefer not to get a cease and desist letter in the future.

Maybe better to have them in your pocket for event merch sponsor in the future than telling them to "F off"

That choice is up to you, just my opinion, and I'm curious what you'll follow through with.

Slee steps seem to have enough room to take the place of a running board with or without the body cladding in my opinion. I've had them set up both ways. I have a very early pair and the powder coat didn't hold up as well over the years but I bet that's been rectified over the years.

I bought one over Memorial Day weekend!

Thanks scumbag North Face. Love finding out from the internet that my photo was stolen, put on their shirts and monetized.

I saw that drama unfolding on Reddit. I'm shocked that they would blatantly rip off someone elses truck especially with that much detail. They could have at least hit you up first.. It's not like you're hard to track down online and with such a unique looking truck.

I actually can't believe Jose was so inspired by a t-shirt that he built a Landcruiser to match it.

Finally got a chance to do something other than school. Right after taking my final test of the semester of 20 credit hours, I hit the road to the Ozarks with @WillGentry---who took these sick pics! Then we met up with several other cruiser owners (Bryan, Bill, and Caleb) and spent the weekend in the woods. Not sure what is going on with all of my photos, but they are being rejected by mud.

Oh and 85 miles from home, Will and I were both exiting i40 for some gas when crap hit the fan. I was on the phone and saw Will's cruiser nearly roll while he was fighting all sorts of drifting and whipping around at the start of the off ramp while I coasted down.

As I applied my brakes to slow down and stop I started getting a horrendous shake which I thought was either a loose caliper or cracked and lodged piece of brake pad. I creeped it into the gas station and found that one of my front caliper bolts was gone and the top one was finger tight. While I found out that that was the issue, Will had walked down from the top of the off ramp to tell me what had happened to his cruiser.

He had a flat tire, shattered one of his new SCS F5s and had a nearly severed brake line and other damage. His caliper came loose and did a full 180 until being wrapped up by the dust shield thus locking up his wheel and shattering it in the process.

It was a long evening, but luckily everyone was okay. Super weird and the fact that it happened at the same time is very strange and makes me want to think we were somehow sabotaged by some side by side people as there were only a couple instances towards the end of the trip while we were out in the woods that I wasn't keeping an eye on my cruiser. It doesn't make sense why someone would do that, but it doesn't make sense how two separate Cruisers who have had brake work done independently from each other and at different times would have lost the exact same lower brake bolts on the driver's front caliper at pretty much the same time.

Mine after scavenging a brake bolt off Will's cruiser and putting the caliper back on.

WTF??? seriously both at same time? I looked at pics originally and then read whole story, thats crazy good your both OK and the trucks of course

I have the same ones on my own 80 and there's plenty of room to get in and out even with my size 13 clodhoppers!
And I’ve been looking for a pair of the same for my 60 series for years

Yeah seriously glad we all made it out considering how much worse it could have been. I just keep thinking that the last and only place I think it could have been tampered with was where there was like 30 minutes left of trail. Mostly cruising around in low and not needing too much braking. Then a short drive to the gas station and then to i40. We had been cruising for several hours and were making great time until we both used the brakes...

Just doesn't make sense as there wasn't any sort of confrontation between our group and the couple of the side by sides. Just where my mind keeps wandering since it doesn't make sense. I always tighten my brake bolts and then hit the breaker bar or wrench with a mallet several times to really lock them down.

FYI your bumper bolts will work for your calipers

To continue the smallest and cheapest, and frustratingly overdue, and to mention SIMPLE...yet exceedingly gratifying accomplishments, replaced my cracked clock! Now why the heck did that take me 5 years to do?! Another head scratcher. I'll take Door #1 for a New 80! Third time in the last couple of weeks it got new again. Thanks to @05Tacorunner (not DOA!!)

very strange coincidence with the brakes. i think only someone with intimate 80 series knowledge would know to loosen the front caliper bolt as a means of sabotage. most doofuses that stoop to that level usually only have the brain power to slash your tires or break your glass etc
