Great looking truck, but why the giant sticker in the middle of the rear window? Seems like that would hamper visibility and perhaps a d-bag cop may ticket you for it.
Yea that's sticker is pretty oddly placed but to be honest I never had visibility problems when I drive it so it's not as bad as it looks when you drive it

Replaced exhaust hangers on my son’s 92 tonight. I guess it was time...

@Nay did some straightening, but believe he used a shop given the extent of his boo-boo, or should say the driver that hit him.

@thekitchensink Your hood pic suggests it’s more than just the frame ears. My frame was “diamonded” and it took about 8 hours on the frame rack to straighten it.

My impact was worse, and I’m only going on a limited view. If it’s just the ears, get a pull clamp and hand winch and pull ‘em straight.

You can search my more recent posts on this thread for some visuals. My frame swayed enough to bend one of the hood hinges (pulled it forward) and I had to replace it.

Got some goodies to install...

Is that the Yaesu FTM-3200DR? Why the dual band antenna? You'd need a 2m antenna rated for 65W

That's what a lot of folks recommended for 2M. I might have to look into it a bit more though...

I missed the power rating there somehow. the other I got is 120W.

When you are sick of waiting for a sunny day when you're not working and can't wait to install your next mod.

Thanks to @Dixiedog for the great deal on the LCP gullwing window and @LandCruiserPhil for the extra parts I needed. Not too difficult to do.

I noticed water dripping out of this spot while my rear hatch was open for a long time in the rain. Bad window seal?

A little hard to see but the water is coming from behind the plastic trim piece.

Your Gullwing Flip up Window install looks like new, nice install.:cookie:

The (2) little gray condoms I added to your order is to protect where the hinge latch contacts the inner frame seal. Just slide them on:slap:

The drip you have from the lift gate might be from rain getting into the liftgate through the rear window washer nozzle hole if the gate is open for a while in the rain.

Not weekend, but my '93 FZJ charge light, AT/temp light and a few others greeted me on Tuesday morning before work...

What a day Tuesday would be. Freezing rain over night made a mess of everything, of course all my preparations had been to the 80... 120V heater on the dash running all night to keep ice from forming on the windshield, towel hanging from the roof rack covering the drivers door so I could open it in the morning... All worked as planned, for nothing.

Diagnosed it to the alternator being dead. Of course this meant all the ice from the whole truck was melting and dripping onto my shop floor (no drain), so I actually stopped a few times, backed the truck out and squeegeed the floor. Anyway - Ordered a reman Denso from Rock Auto with expedited shipping. Thawed out my wife's -solid block of ice- car and was 2.5 hours late for work. Hour and a half after arriving at work, left work to put out a structure fire. Left that to go back to work, but 3 minutes into the drive turned around and went on a second call.... Never made it back to work Tuesday. Fire training Tuesday night and a 1AM medical call made for a very tired Wednesday, but a welcome end to Tuesday!

Alternator arrived Thursday, put it in Thursday night after work in 22 minutes, no more lights! (And as an added bonus my clock started working again!)

Have to say, Rock Auto slaughtered every price everywhere else I looked... Most places were pretty close to double, plus the core charge. FYI, it's a reman Denso, same as I would get from Toyota. Local Toyota dealer says there is one original in Californa.... (Of the original part number, not the superseded part number) so for anyone with a dire need for an OEM, you can see if you can snag it for a mere $800 some odd dollars. No superseded part number alternators available from Toyota, so far as they could see.

Glad that's all over with - although her TDI is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more fuel efficient!
