Hmmmm...I don't have a Mud sticker....
Yay for horn replacement. Move b;($$ get out the way.
What was your main reason for removing the hard rear heater lines after removing rear heater? Just curious, as after my rear heater delete we just plugged them and left the rear hard lines in place.Last week I removed my rear heater and heater lines. Removing the hard rear heater lines was the hardest job I have ever had with a Land Cruiser but it done.
All the hoses were replaced with the prior HG PM. Getting to these hoses if bad would be a big PIA on the trail but with the rear heater removed the access to the hose is now simple going forward.

Try replacing the hard lines for perspective![]()

I would say it is not possible with removing the head.
Wholeheartedly agree, I think we are in the same boat. Personally I like the look of a nice patina almost a little more than the fully polished restoration look. But you're right, good luck finding a decent example like that for a price that doesn't make you cry.I can't believe I'm admitting this in public... a 40 is the epitome of cool. And completely impractical. If I had a really nice 40 I wouldn't want to damage it (as was the case with my 76). If I had a sh!tty 40 that you are always working on it takes the fun out of it (my 77 and 78).
If I ever were to get another one I'd want a patina'd 76-78 40 that was mechanically sound but cosmetically meh so I wouldn't feel bad beating it up. And I'd only drive it in the spring, summer, and fall with the top off, permanently.
And 40 prices are insane. I'd have to "steal" one to be able to justify it.
Is that the Hella set? If so, how simple was the swap?
Mod the bumper to fit a Warn 16.5k winch. Luke @4x4labs was extremely nice, made a feet facing forward winch plate for me. I reinforced the plate welding another piece of 1/4" to the hoop so it doesn't flex when applying load.

@socallove could you post more pics of that Labs bumper?
that's a real winch for a heavy ass Cruiser ..
I don't want to be over confident just because I have a big winch.
I am in the process of changing out my water pump...was starting to make some nasty noise. Waiting for the part. So while I was in there I was checking the fan and it seemed like it was spinning to easily so I ordered a Aisin blue fan...I got it. Now with both fans at the same temp it seems my old one has the same if not more resistance. Think I should just return the new one? I was thinking it was spinning easily because at the time it was hotter outside. Thoughts?
