What's that paint color? Desert dune beige? Looks awesome on an 80.

I have the same front bumper and mounted my license plate in the same place. Last week I bent the license plate back (official license plate mod) so it deflects air toward the radiator. I figure it can't hurt mpg's either. :hillbilly:

Hah. Nah that's Antique Sage Pearl! Or are you joking? :)

Alternator died, and since it takes 2000 forevers to get anything for the 3FE around here, went ahead and pulled off the smog pump, EGR, and friends to free up some room for a second battery. It's uncanny how well my Wit's End Keychain fits where the EGR went!

Also worth noting:

I found the OEM radiator cap wedged down in that funky electric fan the 91 & 92 came with. Need to order another one!

That's odd. Had no clue that the keychain fits so perfectly. What an interesting use for it. :hhmm:

Serious about you paint. Made a facetious remark about my license plate mod. Your posts make me want to hang out at the beach more often. Seriously!

Last day in Colorado. Will miss the cool air.

Got my wiring all run for my solar panel (finally!). Didn't get the panel mounted as I ran out of time and am missing a knockout plug on my solar panel. Will pick one up tomorrow at work. Having the Heyco flex conduit sure makes it easy to add wiring.

Also filled my knuckles. I really need to do my knuckles. One of these weekends...

Went fishing yesterday and this morning with my son. Back to the grind tomorrow...

Oh, and jumped a Heep Compass that was dead. Then followed them to the parts store and swapped out their alternator for them. Literally took 15 minutes. I will give Heep credit for the location on the alternator. Right on top with 3 bolts holding it in place. Slid out and put in the new one. Didn't even have to reroute the serpentine belt.

Went for a ride to Bald Mountain with our local group, for a meet and greet. Over 100 Toyotas showed up. Good times were had!

My boy stacking rocks...

Was a great weekend. Caught up with some old friends, and met a bunch of new one's.

Meeting and raffle at base camp.

Attempted plain old oil change. Fumoto quick drain valve barely let any oil out, so draining took forever o_O. No mess, but long time. Then filter stuck on the engine block. What was going to be 15 min zero  turns into time suck

Now that I've had them for a few miles I can't say enough good things about the Scheelmann seats, night and day. I can drive forever, feels like a new truck..

Attempted an oil change. I guess karma can get you back - my Fumoto quick drain valve barely let any oil out, so draining took forever. No mess, but long time. Then my filter is stuck on the engine block, didn't realize until too late and had to drive so put new oil on with old filter. Taking to shop to replace filter and recycle oil this week.

Ha! I was there on Saturday too (around 2:00 p.m.). Saw two 80's headed up. I was on my way down in a white MB ML350 diesel. Made it to the diner at Echo Lake for lunch and a beer right when the hail hit. :p Traffic was crazy and so many bicycles up there, those guys are nuts.
