Following on from the rear heater delete, may as well make use of that space and wiring..

Onboard jetwash. 100W 8L per min flow. kit about £35 on eBay.

in testing the pump has plenty of pressure and works well as small jetwash, but the connections supplied are rubbish. what's more they only wanted to supply one screw on hozelock adaptor for the output side of the pump. not acceptable to moi. I threatened to apply for a refund if they couldn't send me another one for the input, and he folded.

I was hoping the pump would just run slower if I re-used the rear-heater fan resistor, but it's too much, it won't start, so only the 2nd setting on the rear heater switch is running it currently.

Just need to get Hozelock fittings under the car here, and we are rocking. squirting

its the whole DIY kit. came with everything needed to weld it up. there were instructions had to modify some of it to make it work. such as cutting the hole in the bumper cover went too big the first time.

Still waiting on my gear box to come back from West Texas Offroad. Bad timing around the easter jeep event, apparently. With the cruiser stranded in my garage over the last few weeks, it's led to me engaging in giving my money away for new projects, as well as digging up crap I bought years ago.

I finished up the install of the new power steering pump, and all new hoses. Hoping that makes for a much cleaner situation all around.



I sent Slee some money, and they sent me this nice new drag link to replace my old one. Figured there would never be an easier time to replace this. Today i sent Trail Tailer some money, and they're sending me a new steering damper to replace the bright yellow OME one that I've had on for the last 4 years.



Lastly, and most fun of all, I dug out the box of parts I ordered a year ago, intending to install an electric fan to help with stop and go AC temps. Last year I modded my fan clutch with 30k oil, and dropped my coolant temps down considerably. I don't really think I actually need to add the fan, but I had all of the parts, and I figured it won't hurt. More than a few good write ups from those that have gone before.



Added that FIAM horn as well. I think I bought that like 4 years ago. Now I just need to get that gear box back so I can get this thing back on the road.

For now it sits, and the lure of doing other projects continues...

What size is that electric fan and does it make an noticeable difference?

I cannot speak to what difference it makes at this point as my cruiser is awaiting the return of its steering gear box, and i haven't had a chance to test it out yet.

I can HIGHLY recommend modding your blue fan clutch with a higher weight "oil". I could have sworn I used 30k, but my Amazon history shows 20k : Amazon.com: Team Associated 5456 Premium Silicone Differential Fluid, 20000CST: Toys & Games

2 summers ago, air conditioning in stop and go was a joke, and my coolant temps were up at like 210 - 215. Last summer, AC blew cold, and my coolant temps never broke 200. The fan clutch mod is serious bang for buck.

I doubt I even need to add this fan, but I ordered it last year in the event the fan clutch wasn't enough. Since my cruiser has been sitting lifeless in my garage for 3 weeks now, I've gotten motivated to dig out whatever old items I ordered and never got around to installing.

Hope this helps. If you haven't modded your fan clutch yet, definitely start there.

Well sometimes it can be hard to get other land cruiser to come out and play it seems. Even for dinner.

These are good friends despite their ownership of heeps. I can say though only jeeps had to be winched or towed out of trouble today.

Pulled carpet and power washed, cleared drain tubes for sunroof, cleaned and greased rails on the sunroof.....all good. Carpet looks much better and it doesn't smell like a locker rooms anymore.
