Been scratching my head about where/how to mount my new HAM radio. My radio does not have a detachable face which makes installation a bit more difficult when trying to keep it discrete and not completely exposed and in the way.

Couldn't use the stereo location since I have a double din unit. Already have a CB in the ashtray location, so.......

I decided that it was worth some minor sacrificing of the center console since I don't use the front pocket of the console that much. I still have some room in the pocket but this made for a little cleaner install than the alternatives I had come up with.

You may find it nice to replace your coiled mic cable using any internet/router patch cord.

I finally finished welding/repairing fenders and applied Berliner to the front end... this weekend, the rest!

Handy way to mount your mic out of the way and easy to reach.

I've seen that done before. I'll see how it I like it and maybe change it out later. Thanks
I did the same thing that @LandCruiserPhil suggested utilizing a patch cable, RJ45 female-female connector, some JB weld, and a empty dash blank.

Trail-Tailor bumper?

I've got a Trail Tailor from Jason on the front. Love it! For now, funds dictate stock for the rear :frown: Here's a shot of the front TT.

Finally finished the budget freshen up project. In addition to rear bumper bruise, my clear coat was failing on hood and flares, and the 20 year old hardened flare gaskets were crumbling. So I...
  • Plastidipped the flares and installed fresh gaskets from @SUMMIT CRUISERS These were just large enough to cover over paint score lines that the hardened flare gaskets scratched into front fenders and rear doors and quarters
  • Painted the rear cross member and bumper end caps with Rustoleum bed liner
  • Prepped mud flaps with SEM plastic/rubber cleaner and sprayed with Duplicolor bumper and trim paint
  • Plastidipped a black faux body side molding
  • Installed secret lights in bumper ( no electricity needed reflective tape)
Even though I used 3 different blacks, they all matched surprisingly well.

Still debating a respray though o_O

Mudflaps painted and reinstalled

Secret lights "on" :)

Spent last night working out if the lockers on my newly acquired '95 actually work or not. Jumped the CDL position sensor and got a light on the dash. Replaced the sensor and got three solid lights. Jacked it up and made sure they were locked! Tonight I removed the running boards, stock bumper, and waag from the '97. Pulled the ARB off the '95. Threw the stock bumper/waag on the '95. A little touch up and tomorrow the ARB goes on the '97

Did you respray or ? Looks great
