The birf would have to deflect quite a bit to cause that type of damage. Possible failed drive flange or a wheel bearing failure. Maybe that is why it has a new-style spindle.

That is correct. The previous owner, a friend of mine, ran over the top of a car when It pulled out in front to him. He later discovered damage to the spindle and had it fixed at the Lexus dealer under his insurance. The bearings on that side looks perfect. The lower trunion studs were pretty banged up, but probably unrelated other than a mechanic getting overzealous knocking out the cone washers.

Mounted my Ultragauge that came in yesterday. For reference, I also ordered the vertical mount and mounted it sideways....ran the wire up the pillar. I unscrewed the handle on the pillar and the sun visor so I could pull the trim up to get the wire in there. I left most of the slack of the wire closer to the actual Ultragauge in case I need to program etc and need to pull it out a few inches....but all the wire is tucked up top.

I like it up there!!

I'd love to see a build thread on the garage.

What is the scope of your business?

I will be working on LC's, mainly mine and customer rigs. Have 2 full fledged frame off FJ40 restos going on as well for customers.

Paint your floor now while it is still really new. It makes it much more easy to maintain.

Yes I am waiting for it to get warmer here, but yes its in the works. Thanks for the advice

What kind of step running board do you have .
They are White Knuckle Off-road sliders. Very beefy! They custom made them for my application (diesel) and the fit is great. I'm very happy with them. Check out their website - there are other options you can select (paint, powdercoated, material length, filler pieces to give you more of a step, etc...)

Toyota FZJ80 Rock Sliders

Are you trying to say an 80 did this?

That's a pretty cool place to put it. Does the ultragauge dim at all for night time? I like all my stuff dimmed at night or else it really screws with my night vision.

It has 2 settings. One is pretty bright and the other is what is in the pic. I will do a comparison this evening and post. I think it will dim automatically....but I couldn't figure it out....but I didn't mess with it too long. Worst case it will manually change. I will try to figure it out.
