No trimming needed. They sound much better Than stock the rear passenger speaker was blown.

The dash speakers fit nicely and were very easy. I screwed the driver's side speaker into the existing holes. On the passenger side I removed the factory amp and mounted it behind the dahs opening using the included little clips instead of mounting it to the panel.

The door speakers were a little more trouble. I put some foam down to space the front ones out and had to drill a few new mounting holes.

The rear speakers needed a spacer and some new holes drilled.

Do your dash speakers put out any meaningful sound?
I still have the OEMs but the sound out of them is insignificant. They are not blown, just not amplified enough.

My PRND back light disappeared a couple weeks ago, but oddly enough it came back on the other day. After it had gone out I banged on the dash a couple times and ended up driving on some washboard roads, and it never even flickered. I thought it was gone for good, but it just happened to turn back on one day.
Relieved it's back on so I don't have to open the dash and replace it.

Don't beat on the dash any more; I just learned today that your transmission shift linkage might be the answer to curing this. But good on ya!

I was impressed when I first hooked them up. But I tested them before I replaced the door speakers so maybe they will seem less significant Now I have all new ones.

Hit the Johnny Park Road trail starting at the CR 47 end just past Pinewood Springs and coming out at Pierson Park road trailhead

. Great introduction to wheeling' in a bone stock rig. Took the family, including the 6 week old. Wife had a blast-will be easier to spend $ on armor and lift now.

Did coolant flush, changed radiator hoses and some heater hoses, installed "engine guardian" (overheating alarm) and installed OME stock springs with OEM tokicos. Busy weekend, trying to get her ready for a trip next weekend.

Back to cleaning and tearing out the carpet in preparation for the new vinyl flooring from Trail Tailor aka @reevesci. This rig was freaking disgusting. Pics don't do it justice. On the plus side it is now clean as a whistle and I found a couple more dollars in change and a chunk of silver (I'll contact the PO to see if this is a family heirloom or something and send it back to him).

Installed the Thermozite. There are varying opinions on which way to install it. I chose wool side down so that it would fill the flutes of the floor. Some say to install it metallic side down to reflect the heat.

Upgraded the front driver seat. These can be found at your local Lowe's Home Improvement (shameless plug for my employer). Down side is you don't have much head room.

I also ordered my new suspension for my 93. More stuff from Trail Tailor aka @reevesci. 2" Tough Dog springs and shocks from Australia. I'm looking forward to not squatting anymore. This has been in the works for a little while but didn't want to spill the beans on it until it was "official" that Jason is going to be carrying their products.

No spacers. I would like to put a set of spacers on but I would have to run non-hubcentric and with the wheels using shank lugs I don't want to risk getting a vibe. It is my wife's daily driver and I would hear about it. LOL

I thought I would throw this out there. I got this for Father's Day and I think it works pretty good. Makes it easier to find stuff and it rolls up. Capacity is great and can be hung from anywhere. The strappings seem sturdy and the zippers are stout. Atlas 46 is the company. I got the largest one and it holds all I need. $60 I think.View attachment 1320007 View attachment 1320008

I was wrapping up the last 2 items on my maintenance baselining from this awesome spreadsheet (Excel-based Maintenance Log for the 80 Series). The trans fluid drain-and-fill went well but I managed to snap off a u-joint zerk fitting AND noticed a little weeping from the lower radiator hose.

I was sooooooooo close to being (momentarily) done with maintenance.
