probably blew a head gasket as well! or the tranny blew? or it broke an axle? I give up...it could be a few hundred different things.

It's a jeep! More you take it to the mechanics the more character it builds! Plus it is as American as apple pie. You can't fault that!

The Pepsi effect wore off?

All the windows Joey? Or just the rear?

The rear I'm not sure actually. But all side windows are sprayed. This may be because it's a bronze color.

Its my understanding that it only works on the rear window and will "frost" the side windows.

Yes.

It's was my finding that no matter what the side windows are, (between the glass or spray on) the sides will "frost" when wheel cleaner is applied.

The rear window for what ever reason seems to wipe clean with the acid trick... The rear hatch glass is the most expensive, so I used the acid on the rear. And purchased new clear back sides. Just be ready to do this for anyone looking to go this direction unless someone can determine otherwise. Keep track of model and year for reference.

Mine is a 1994 Toyota FZJ80.

Few more pics from Barrett Lake. Short trail. Dusty, bumpy and a handful of really tough sections. Really tight and narrow, trees everywhere waiting to dent the rear quarter panels. 6 miles in, 6 miles out. Beautiful lake at the end.

Why I don't run a rear bumper!

Loaded up the ninos and camping gear for an overnight trip into the Kuaokala-Mokuleia forest backcountry.

The trail up there offered beautiful views of the northwest coast and mountains.

Just a couple of trail posers.

You can get just about anywhere on Oahu in about an hour, but took us a little over 2 hours to go 7 miles to our campsite! Our 80 finally saw some chellenging trails and handled it like a champ!

Found an awesome campsite in the Kuaokala-Mokuleia forest reserve. It's tucked away in the valleys above the northwest shore and is accessed by a 4WD only trail. Great family time and letting the 80 work like it's meant to.

Between the unbelievably awesome wheeling you do and the over the top incredible pictures, my analogy is me being the dorky little kid with his fingers wrapped around the chain link fence, nose pressed against it peering through at you and the badass big boys (and girls) playing pro caliber ball on the other side!

@Aloha Jen , glad to see you back. You have a great family, an excellent 80, and incredible scenery!

Took my friend with me to the Eagle Lakes trail Sunday. He had a good time and was impressed with what my 80 could do with simple mods.

Here are the couple pics I took. First one is at one of the peaks before you drop down to Eagle Lakes, second one is when we finished airing up and getting back on the paved road.

Looks to me that you need some metal washers so that the body of the damper does not touc anything during operation.
What do you mean? If you're referring to the bolt on the bracket, it's just the angle of the photo that makes it look like it's touching... It's not :)

I'll check the bolts in a few hundred miles to see if they need tightening.

Nice @Aloha Jen
Prinsu Rack looks good. That's the first rack I've seen outside of the CONUS.
Thanks, I love it.... and it may be the only one in Hawaii. Although, I never see any other Land Cruisers here anyways, so who knows.

Got a little stuck with the motor mounts project. The rear mount on the transfer case cross member was cake but the front mounts in the engine bay are pains. So I turned my attention to pulling the rear axle and diffs. Tonight I'll be working on the front end (and likely slowly over the next few days) to get ready for regearing to 4.88 Nitros.

4.88s are nice but 5.29 are nicer! better pull off the line and you can actually climb hills...just saying!

I think you may be confused about what state you're in, shouldn't it be the keiki? Or were you just trying to 'connect' with all the Californians? ;-)
