I thought about that but didn’t want to go too high of a wattage in the fog lights because the housing and lens are plastic and I didn’t want to melt it.
Modified some 9005 bulbs to work in my fog lights and added yellow film to protect the lenses and help with poor weather visibility. For those that didn’t, you can grind off the two tabs inside the connector of a 65w 9005 and use them in place of...
It could be, one of mine was pretty loose and I just put a small square of duct tape on it and it’s as tight as the new one the PO put on the truck just before I got it.
Interesting idea. One of mine is pretty loose and makes noise but for now I just took all of them off. I’m going to give it a week or so and see how I feel about the look.
On my birthday Thursday I got some uninterrupted time to work on my truck. I was able to fix a squeaking from the rear brakes, PO had zero grease on the contact points of the pads, adjusted the parking brake so it works now, installed new hood...
I have a friend that lives in Dublin, I’ll see if he is coming down to visit family and maybe he can grab them for me. I’m not sure they will work on a 100 either, that’s why I’m trying to keep this experiment as cheap as possible.
Any chance you would happen to be coming to SoCal anytime in the next month or so? I’d like to do an experiment and see if these work on a 100 series but don’t really want to spend on shipping for a maybe.
It's not ideal but you can probably reuse it. You can also see if you can find a regular almn. or copper crush washer that is the same size to use in place of the Toyota ones. Worst case with reusing is it will have a very small leak but the plug...
For myself I'm just looking for higher load capacity without having to use AirLift air bags. If I get a little lift great but mainly looking to reduce the amount of rear sag when loaded up for a family trip.
Unfortunately I can not locate the spring table I found a few weeks ago for the 200 series but stock 100 series springs are 170 lb spring rate and 865's are 220 lb rate. The 200 series is almost 800 pounds heavier than a 100 series when comparing...
Looking for a little more rear load capacity and I saw the stock 200 rear spring specs are pretty close to OME 865's but I don't know if the top/bottom of the spring matches the 100 series seats on the axle and body. Sorry if this has been asked...
Do these work for the seat heater switches? My driver side one doesn't light up unless I turn on the low or high setting. After seeing your picture my mirror adjustment switch may not be lighting up either, I'll have to double check tomorrow.
No, this connector should be in the middle of the dash. If you take out the blanks where the switch will go it should be back there somewhere. The connector is white with a jumper connector plugged into it but it's wrapped in grey foam making it...
The connector has 6 pins in it so it’s probably for more than one extra light. Some day when I have more time I’ll see if any of the pins activate with my test light. I was just hoping someone here knew what it was without having to individually...
I doubt it, this thing was about as stock as they come other than a different radio headunit. The hose is about the size of washer fluid line but my rear window washer works fine. I’m more interested in what the connector is for because at some...
While replacing a burnt out taillight bulb on the right side I saw this unused 6 pin connector and small hose in the 1/4 panel just under the body connector for the taillight. Does anyone know what they are for? Any chance this is to add a 7 pin...
My fear with the air bags is a leak or complete failure while loaded up on a trip, this is why I’m considering heavier springs. Before our trip there was some rake but not a lot as I raised the front a little but now the truck is almost perfectly...
