Seems like it! But bring a Landcruiser to help pull you up at some point!

Where did the road go?

Getting ready to tear into the axles

Someone hasn't been into an 80 axel before.... Save those for pulling winch line.

Time to upgrade to an all around better system and avoid unwanted loosening

Chromoly Spindle Nut Kit (Toyota) - Trail Gear

Ordered, if they dont make it by Friday they go in next time.

I was about to say I have an extra set in the garage that I'd sell ya... Oh well.

Installed 200 series rack on my 80 with Gamiviti @nakman 30,60 mounts. Its very low profile and much narrower than the baskets designed for the the 80. It limits that amount of side overhang to worry about on the trail. Also got the ARB shovel and Hi Lift mount from @Southeast Overland. I used one of the rear nutzert holes that spun out to run power for the LED's and ground using the the speaker bracket in the upper headliner. Very happy with the turnout.

That came out great Patrick, awesome looking truck. Let's go 'sploring!

Don't got time for that. The window between camping/wheeling season and ski season is just too f'n short.

:ban:
And it often overlaps.

:hhmm:

Well, is it the way to White Rim?

Yes but he is lucky that he was at a point by staying left he could get out to a good road without any trouble.
If you have not done it put it on your to do list. An over the top scenic 100+ miles of dirt.

This is some of the road he came down.

Yes and to be fair the switchbacks are often in much much better condition than the rest of the trail so if you start there you get lulled into a sense that it's just easy gravel road. I saw an abandoned Subaru Forrester on the White Rim trail last spring. Front bumper was torn off and if you followed the oil trail you could clearly see the rock that are his oil pan.
