What would be the concerns of using w non tapered metric bolt in there? Just curious if any damage has been caused to the threads. When I put it back in it seemed fine.

Ordered a new plug from my local dealer. $6 as well.

If the thread pitch is the same likely zero damage. Even if not, it isn't exactly a critical fastener. I'd look in there and use a pick & magnet to remove any loose thread chunks, then maybe put some teflon tape on the new one to help prevent binding/galling and thread it in.

For the past 1.5 years I have had the cheapest ($13.50) and worst Ham antenna in terms of location and performance one can have.

I have procrastinated on this because I did not want to drill any holes or have an antenna on the top of my CampTeq. No holes much better location and with the spring set up no clearance issues

Not the weekend but fixed my rear passenger window that had fallen out of the track because of some snow wheeling last weekend

No kidding! hand tight plus another little bit from the oil filter wrench is plenty.
I nominate this topic for the 80s tech lore section! It's gets more air time than the Orange skinned 10billionaire himself...if we don't have an 80s tech lore section, I recommend we start 1...

Word, hand tight only on all cars.

I've never used an oil filter wrench. Or strap. Don't own one. Hand tight on. Once in a blue moon I have to LIGHTLY tap the filter with a screwdriver. Then it unscrews easily.

Oh, I have several filter wrenches. For working on other people's cars, or the first oil change on one of mine (from the PO over tightening it).

Otherwise, I'd have no need for one.;)

Two new studs. Busted em changing the tire on the trail. I think brakes plus cross threaded the lug nuts. I informed them today and they gave me a coupon for a free synthetic oil change.
