Another Mervo family blitz mission. Readers digest version goes like this:
3 families bailed on us for Moab at the last second due to it being Jeep extravaganza weekend and no campgrounds were available (never stopped me)
Wife says, "We're still going someplace warm, so figure it out." So I did.
Off to Utah for hot springs adventure!!!
1 hot tub and 2 different hot springs in less than 48 hours! Left Friday morning at 9:30 am from Fort Collins with 8" of snow on the ground and arrived back home at 5:45am Sunday morning, 1200 miles later.
First headed up 287 to Laramie to hit I-80 west.
Ice blobs on the rig.

Hit Provo Utah for a few hours of shuteye and while no hot springs, we did use the hot tub at the hotel we crashed at. Sorry no pics of that.
Off to Baker hotsprings on Sat morning, 20 miles west of Delta. Suffice it to say this was our favorite hot spring of the trip. Middle of absolutely NOWHERE. And only one other person, a local named Roger, that's been coming here at least twice a week for 60 years. It's dudes like this that make adventuring fun. Hung out with him for 4 hours and felt like I've known him my whole life. If you visit these springs and see Roger tell him we said hello.
If you're in to hotsprings these have zero sulfur smell and get as hot as you want them to be. A little Google search will give you all the info you need to know.

Other than Roger (seen on the right above) the only other thing we saw out here.... Antelope.

Off to Meadow hotsprings. Not recommended- too many people, 3 pools warmest was 100 degrees. Being so close to I-15 makes for a family and college kid hangout. The plus side is if you catch it mid-week, and its just you and your crew, the place is amazingly beautiful. Again, just google it for much better pics.

Made dinner in the parking lot, wife got lit, and decided I didn't want to fight I-70 traffic on Sunday. Started driving at 8pm and pulled into Fort Collins at 5:45am, nbd.
First serious mileage on the cruiser. Only issue was throwing a CEL...the old classic P421. Hit clear codes on the scan gauge and like magic, no more code. (Yes, I'm aware it will come back like a bad case of gonorrhea, not that I know anything about that...)

Another adventure checked off the list. Time for spring, Moab, Colorado trails, and of course, more work on the rig.
