cause I'm late for Work League

Another Mervo family blitz mission. Readers digest version goes like this:

3 families bailed on us for Moab at the last second due to it being Jeep extravaganza weekend and no campgrounds were available (never stopped me)

Wife says, "We're still going someplace warm, so figure it out." So I did.

Off to Utah for hot springs adventure!!!

1 hot tub and 2 different hot springs in less than 48 hours! Left Friday morning at 9:30 am from Fort Collins with 8" of snow on the ground and arrived back home at 5:45am Sunday morning, 1200 miles later.

First headed up 287 to Laramie to hit I-80 west.

Ice blobs on the rig.

Hit Provo Utah for a few hours of shuteye and while no hot springs, we did use the hot tub at the hotel we crashed at. Sorry no pics of that.

Off to Baker hotsprings on Sat morning, 20 miles west of Delta. Suffice it to say this was our favorite hot spring of the trip. Middle of absolutely NOWHERE. And only one other person, a local named Roger, that's been coming here at least twice a week for 60 years. It's dudes like this that make adventuring fun. Hung out with him for 4 hours and felt like I've known him my whole life. If you visit these springs and see Roger tell him we said hello.

If you're in to hotsprings these have zero sulfur smell and get as hot as you want them to be. A little Google search will give you all the info you need to know.

Other than Roger (seen on the right above) the only other thing we saw out here.... Antelope.

Off to Meadow hotsprings. Not recommended- too many people, 3 pools warmest was 100 degrees. Being so close to I-15 makes for a family and college kid hangout. The plus side is if you catch it mid-week, and its just you and your crew, the place is amazingly beautiful. Again, just google it for much better pics.

Made dinner in the parking lot, wife got lit, and decided I didn't want to fight I-70 traffic on Sunday. Started driving at 8pm and pulled into Fort Collins at 5:45am, nbd.

First serious mileage on the cruiser. Only issue was throwing a CEL...the old classic P421. Hit clear codes on the scan gauge and like magic, no more code. (Yes, I'm aware it will come back like a bad case of gonorrhea, not that I know anything about that...)

Another adventure checked off the list. Time for spring, Moab, Colorado trails, and of course, more work on the rig.

Where did you find the USB and 12V power points? Love how clean they look.

I got them from Amazon. Search for ISWEES Dual USB Car Cigarette Lighter Socket Splitter 12V Charger...I also have a different one up front that has a voltmeter which is sweet.

Cleaned up the frame horns and gave them a coat of por-15. Previous owner had welded something on here and there was some rust developing on the welds.

Painted my new bumper

Bumper and winch installed (mostly installed anyway- still need to make a bracket to move the solenoid box forward an inch, held on with zip ties for now)

Beautiful.
I wonder what this thing would be worth on the open market..

I would venture $125k. It is the most beautiful 40 I've ever seen.

Is it about 20-30 min off I-15? I'll be heading up from LA back to Iowa via SLC and packed my trunks if I can find a hot spring or two along the way. Any tips for finding them?

Is that the exhaust hanger that's about in the middle of the truck (as in front to back middle)? Mine is busted in half, too, from my last wheelin' trip.

it's the last one towards the rear at the muffler - just about where the picture was taken.

Not the weekend but had a mini cruiser family reunion!!

Oh and this arrived.

Took my 80 to Moab for the Easter Jeep Safari. Ran a couple of class 3/4 trails in it. I like running with the jeeps cause it shows them what a capable wheeler 80 series is out of the box. Particlarly the full floater axles with lockers.

Not the weekend, but finally got to open my packages. Whoo hoo!

Pulled the dash from the wrecked '95 (anybody need a good oak dash?), blew up an airbag in my yard, found the open splice in the wiring harness that was keeping me from shifting into park, replaced with a new wiring harness from the '95, and got it all buttoned up. It was a fun day wrenching with my boys.

I might be interested in the Oak dash. What kind of monies are you talking? You willing to ship? I'm course talking about the upper dash pad part.
