todd and i decided to go to moab for new years. original plan was to winter camp, but when i passed through on the way home from malibu after christmas, we talked and decided the temps would just suck too much and we went to the mo-tel. two days of before sunrise to after sunset and a trail on the way out of town sunday was the perfect way to start the new year!

trails hit were
gemini bridges
bull canyon
surprise overlook
long canyon
hidden canyon
tusher tunnel
bartlett wash road
spring canyon bottom trail
spring canyon point
secret spire
dellenbaugh tunnel
klondike bluff

we stuck to the easy stuff because in champagne powder, it isn't quite as easy. we couldn't finish dellenbaugh and long canyon due to dangerously slippery conditions (i had to chain up to get out of pucker pass on long canyon, otherwise it would've been a long cold night) and we didn't finish spring canyon bottom because we didn't want to drive through a half a mile of the most cow crap you have ever in your life seen. we were really glad for the hot shower in the motel. after splashing through bartlett wash, my shackle adapter had ice in it and a big ice booger hanging off

Im considering doing the same thing. How long did that take you? How do you like it? Im a little worried I'll regret it.

20 minutes tops.

I watched this vid and it was spot on.

I took mine off bc I assume they'll get ripped off on the trails. I'll be filling the holes and rhino lining across the bottom half of the rig. I'm all about low maintenance.

Thanks! Certainly LOOKS easy enough.
