Did some light-duty meddling in the garage. My rear defrost was not working, traced it to busted passenger side connection. Tried electrical tape, but that was not going to stay. I discovered a way to solder upside-down, since I did not want to detach the rear hatch for this, or climb in the back and do this on a vertical surface. I melted and let dry solder on the top of the metal connector. Used a hemostat clamp to hold it up while I heated the underside of the connector (it's all metal), and voila - the solder melted and connected to the windshield. Haven't tested to see if it's working properly, but it's staying put at least : )
Replaced my expansion valve and the receiver/dryer. Cleaned out half a forest from the evaporator. I gave it a good clean so maybe it might make the cabin smell a little sweeter.
Did you repair the engine or has she been driving it with the wrist issue ?

Also played with my Puma compressor. It struggles a bit with the impact, works well for airing up and other smaller stuff. I need to sort out the plumbing and plan to connect it to my rear airbags with a regulator, but happy with it for now. Also mounted a Cobra 1000 watt power inverter next to it that will run off the same 4 gauge line.

Got me some new @NLXTACY gear. Well made and well packaged electrical components! If you're like me and can't build stuff like this yourself, I can highly recommend these for auxiliary wiring. Now I just need to put the sticker on my window and lower my property value about 100K!

Wasn't the best snow conditions due to old snow but still had a blast!
I'm no video editor, but I finally uploaded one of my video clips from a new years eve trip with a local off road club. At about 3:30 I struggle due to not having the CDL engaged. It took a few tries before I noticed. I was surprised I made it that far as the trail was fairly steep.
Bye bye fenders!

The Pig belongs to a customer, my wife and I found it frame on the ground 4 flats with a bush growing up inside it including stems growing through the slots in the heat controller, a basket case and then some. Some pretty cool plans with this one, chop the top down to where the corner window starts, 4 link rear with Ford 9", 2WD with Mustang II front suspension, 6.2L LS with six speed, wood sides. Think 60s era California surf wagon with modern suspension and powerr.
Changed the fluids and shes been driving it since. It actually seems to run better the more she drives it. It was slated for a swap and she told me no, she wants to see how long it will last. We drive it all over.

I was able to find a seal and get the rig fixed in a few hours. It wasn't too bad. But I had to run around the city the whole morning for a $7 seal but I got it.
I finally coaxed my lovely bride into snow-wheeling. We found some amazing farm and woods trails; what Brits call "green laning".
Funny thing is, we broke out of a woods just outside our town and lo and behold, a local photographer, who is an old friend, was taking advantage of the new fallen snow to have a photo shoot. The girls were dressed in a combination of Brothers' Grimm folk tales costumes. If you look closely you'll see a "hot" Little Red Riding hood, though "Snow White is behind Marjan. I figured none of you want to see barely dressed models frolicking in the snow, so we had our Photographer friend take a pic of us with her iphone in Marjan instead.
Once we'd said our goodbyes while I was studiously attempting not to ogle the girls with my lovely bride sitting there, we decided to do some mountain climbing.
Crap, that was a harder trail than the photos make it appear. It was still kind of sloppy under the snow and I could feel my rear wheels trying to swing out, with 50 foot drop offs at part of the trail and pretty steep hillside on the other.
You know you've had a great day wheeling when you break both your turn signal housings and scratch up your roof.

Oh hell no. Not right after New Year's. Thanks for keeping everything clean and decent on this forum.
I blasted through the big to-do list I posted a few days ago.. and went camping at Salton Sea with my gf! She even fell asleep with the small block rattling along at 3000RPM. Impressive.
