Running low air pressure is your friend....I go with 8psi per tire on 33's, amazing how much traction you get!

I would think chains on just front would be ok as long as your on snow only never dirt or pavement....it would have to be beyond icy for me to chain up, but I dont own chains..lol

I dropped to about 20, but as I don't have a compressor and it was a ways to the nearest service station I didn't want to have to do too many highway miles at 8. And I'm running 275/70s, BFG KO (ver. 1). Not sure if I would have the same results.

I run my 37 km2s between 8-10 psi. You can drive on the highway with lower pressure for a while but just take it slow

Couple more pics from Red Rock Canyon. This place had a good variety of easy/challenging/scenic trails that's worth a daytrip if you're in the area. Lockers not necessary, but 31" street tires make it more interesting as evidenced by Gil.

You still would have....I find that in my years of snow wheelin you gotta go down below 15psi to where it starts really giving you the traction you need.

Its looks like you had fun and thats all that counts in my book ;)

You need to at least get a chepo auto store air pump, or even a bicycle pump is better than nothing. It will take awhile, but better than being stranded.

Haha, yeah if I didn't want there to be another date I definitely could have gone with that line ;-) haha.

And really my truck is not very big...... it is only OME heavy with 315's. lol.

@scottryana At the end of the date she said, "I think it's hilarious that you drive an old truck but next time can we please take your car?"

......

That's when you were supposed to say, "C'mon baby, don't be intimidated by the size of my rig! It'll still fit in your garage."

Set the deal up for these on sunday for 200 bucks on Local Clist with factory lug nuts .............. I could not pass them up. Tires are shot but going to roll on them for couple of days while I am waiting on a set of 255/80/17 Cooper ST MAXX to show up. So I can keep the skinny tall tire look on my rig, since the overall dimensions are the same as my current 255/85/16 BFG'. Just hope my 1" spacers will be enough to make them work
