Just doing small stuff around the truck that kind of annoyed me during the trip to Last Chance Canyon on Sunday. Tightened up a loose belt, moved some wiring. Cleaned the road dust off my new leather seats :blingpimp:

I also got some hardware ideas tested for my Anderson mount brackets. Tired of a hanging Anderson Power Pole connector.

Finally got to get some road time in on my 80 after replacing the motor and trans mounts. Night and day difference. Amazing.

The guys at the body shop just finished up on my rig, so my buddy ThaMeth went out with them and his badass FJ Cruiser to do a photoshoot before it gets shipped out to me in NorCal

and it came out AMAZING!!

How so? What kind of difference do you notice?

Where'd you get that?

Painted the stock wheels black since I was replacing the tires the next day...well stupid me did not allow the paint to dry enough before I had the tires put on so the wheels are all chipped up, luckily I was not a fan of the black look against the green/gunmental LX so I will/want to redo them in graphite...also note neglected Viper in the garage, I need to swap the rear end on it. Sadly the LX is getting it's rear end rebuilt first as it's the daily

Do you use a solvent to wipe the paint off the tires?

I didnt bother as I got new tires on the next day however it was peeling off so easily i bet that a simple pressure washer would have done the trick, it was coming off like plastidip

Thanks! Needing to touch up my wheels on the truck too.

Pro tip: a deck of playing cards jammed between the wheel and the tire every couple inches will avoid overspray on the tires, makes it real easy to mask everything else off with newspaper or whatever you have handy.

Or... Liquid dish soap and a brush works great also. Added bonus when your done just hose them off and the soap is already there!

Or use black paint and it makes your tires look like new!!

We love our rigs, I get it, but this isn't the 100 Series forum, add more dirt.
