Last time I drove a new jeep, I found that the 60 is still a much better machine. I had to laugh that a rental Rubicon couldn't follow the 60's line without loosing traction or hanging up.

Blasphemous I know but thoughts on the 4xe?
Replaced the with horn button. It amazes me how much material can wear away and the horn still functions.
Also replaced the rear lenses and gaskets.

After 32 years, the side lamps had completely disintegrated. Now I need to swap out the headlights and corner lenses and all will be fresh.
After that, new lift, shocks and swap to 255/85/16s.

Did your 60 started rolling on the pavement and laugh it's head off? Very cool 60 you have sir, that Jeep is mall rated for sure and overpriced.

Im not beholden to any brands so its not a big deal for me to have both vehicles, so Im going to get it. I like a lot of the features and it gets great mileage. Almost as much power as my 60 too!

I changed my oil this past weekend. Realizing I was down to just one filter I reached out to @HemiAlex to order more. Plan was to order 4-6 filters but found that he had a new website with some cool products....had to move to plan B, which was to only order 2 filters and one of each of the rest of the products he had for sale. Arrived today.
Can't wait to use my new mugs and wear my new tshirt.

Took the wife’s 62 for an afternoon of trail riding.
Yesterday I drove out to the mountains to mountain bike with a buddy.
Today I got into the shop and knocked off a bunch of todos. I tightened down a loose antenna mount, tightened lug nuts, tightened the bolts on the newly installed hitch, got all my tire pressures set to 40 PSI, grounded the carb fan wire so it'll work again (seems that the sensor died), replaced a bunch of vacuum lines, and checked the oil in the transmission (looked fine).
If the weather is decent tomorrow I may find myself out in the mountains again.

Did a compression test.
Results were;

Perhaps a lash adjustment will bring everything up and level out.

Indirectly related to my 60, but with the help of Casey (@POTATO LAUNCHER ), completed the “Uncle Keith” trailer build repurposing my old 45 bed. This will go behind my 60 and ironically enough, the 60 frame under the trailer came out from my 60 when I built it several years ago (bent front section from hitting a culvert). Casey fabbed up the tongue basket and tire carrier creating a much more balanced look. The 45 bed is much longer behind the axle which looked way out of balance. For those that don’t know Casey or witnessed his fabrication skills, they are in a league of their own. He’s booked out on work but took the time to do this for me. Truly grateful for this. Some before and after shots of his work. Oh yea...and he’s a master at wiring up lights. He was able to get the factory housings wired up so I no longer need the boat trailer lights from tractor supply
