Put some 4 degree shims in my front axle, fat side to the front to correct castor. My 62 always cruised really good on the hwy but the shims brought it to another level.

So I decided to go to camp for the night and on the way there took a rock to the windshield, damn I'm really bummed.

Glad the castor shims helped. Do you know what your castor was before?

I'm due for a windshield because of putting. Are you gonna replace or get it patched?

I never had it on an alignment rack so no. Always did my alignments with a tape measure lol.

Not sure, if they can patch it for now I'd go for it with the understanding that if it runs then it gets replaced.

I completely understand 😄

I finally got around to making a hard copy of my thread in case the internet goes away or the site gets ransom-wared.
While some forums have a print function, mud doesn't. If you ever want to do the same you can copy each page via highlighting and scrolling, paste it into Word, combine all of the Word files via the Merge function, print it to Adobe (which reduces it's size a bit) and print a hard copy. You'll need a printer with a bunch of memory.
My kid will get this and the keys to the rig when I die.

Here it is....all 527 pages of it.

Now all you have to do is publish it as a coffee table book. Boom. 20% finder's fee plz lol

Went to pick it up with the completed 1HZ swap. Then got to test out low range with the 4:1 t-case gears to pull a 55 out of a culvert before we left. (a friend of mine bought the 55)

Then took it home and washed it for the first time in maybe two years.

Spent the last 2 weekends in someone's barn in the hill country here outside of Austin. Thank you Jimmy and thank you Casey for all of your thoughts on our delema. No fun pulling and replacing trans and tease back to back twice. I met a few cool new mudders in person as well. You don't want these pics lol.

We just had to replace the pilot bearing a get the spud shaft remachined for the marks4wd v8 conversion. Jimmy is now a expert on an obsolete procedure with everyone going ls. But agreed, I know they are passionate and over the top dedicated to helping all cruiser people.

Installed a 4Plus front bumper, Smittybuilt XRC10 winch, Tuffy Console, and 4 Australian Door Cards. I saved the speaker covers, the door pockets and the top vinyl part of the original door panels. This weekend I'll install the 4Plus Classic Rear Bumper and wire everything up.

I’m loving those door cards. Do they make the side pieces for the cargo area as well?

Not that I know of. I already had the WagonGear cargo panels so I didn't look. BTW the black Australian door cards go great with the black WagonGear panels.

Actively Hunting For a few good or not so good Rear POWER Hatch Actuator type push button Locks assy's to send off to have evaluated for a full Reproduction by a top Aftermarket Locks and keys Company Abroad

i was told point blank based solely of a few very select photos i submitted , YES i can be done .... 🤔

This is the Common FJ62 USA Spec. Rear Hatch Loch Push Button type w/ the Poorly Designed Palstic Tab on end where C clip is .....fyi

Thanks for any help or leads ....

on a very SAD note : I have spent the last 2 + years Key Punching The Globe for any shimmer of hope of a single one or some 69055-90A11 Locks

and i have concluded , the ALL 4 Global Destination markets Have ZERO surviving Unicorns Left in the Wild .....

so this translates into the next owner operator's FJ62 Rear hatch that snaps off the Clip Tab will have No viable Solution to remody this repair needed .....

i have acquired the ENTIRE Inventory of 60 / 62 Lock cylinder Cores from the largest land Cruiser Pre-owned parts Dismantle yard out west in the Lower 48 , in hopes of the odds in my favor of a few of these to begin the long and tedious reproduction process of 69055-90A11 , but to my SHOCK not one in the 5 gallon bucket that UPS Delivered .....
