What country did that gauge cluster come from? The diff lock indicator is really cool.
Chris, I picked this cluster up from John at Radd Cruisers in Canada. It’s from an early RHD 61 so I’m assuming it came out of Japan originally. Funny enough the lock indicator was the reason I bought the cluster to use with some cable axles I have.

Got my distributor in correctly, and found the source of my exhaust leak. I was thinking it was the manifold gasket, but it was done approx 1,000mi ago. Found this crack in the emissions rail. At least it’s right up front and an easy location to goop some JB weld on.

I used some quicksteel for the repair. It’s curing now so I’ll know in a little bit if it’s fixed. I figured the emissions rail hasn’t been off in 36 years, so I shouldn’t need to take it off any time soon, either.

Quick summary of a long 10hr Saturday.

Tack welded the perches. Removed axle and welded perches. Removed the 3rd member for install of my Harrop Elocker.

Used pipe cutter to do the cut and turn. The blade broke just after completing the first cut. Used am angle grinder with cutoff disc on the second one.
Need to get a longer leaf for the front springs as they have a slight negative arch with load at ride height. Need to take the 3rd member and Elocker to KNA Offroad to have it installed. Next week to start on the rear axle. Still a lot of work to do.

Bought a green kit $13 on amazon over a year ago. Finally decided I no longer needed an ash tray and trimmed the edges of it to fit in the face. Nice and snug. USB, 12v socket and a volt meter.

It will be wired via the switch on the right to the aux battery.

It will be wired in with my inclinometer.

Picked up a used old-style ARB front bumper with what appears to be the brackets and hardware intact. Now I need to get those pesky rivets out…
