Removal of my leaking power steering gearbox.
Drilled and tapped box for hydro assist. Used copper wire to use as a depth gauge.
1/4x18NPT tapped for Trail Gear Hydro Assist.
Rebuilt gearbox. Ready for the SOA conversion.

Hey, How was it installing those LED headlights. Any issues with no high beam dash indicator?
I hear banjos.Spent this past week doing fieldwork in streams in north Alabama. Loaded up yesterday morning to head home and made it about 20 miles before disaster struck. Blew the left rear axle oil seal. I have had these develop slow leaks before but nothing this dramatic. Considering all the remote spots we hit during the week this was the best place for this parts failure to occur.

Well damn, I redress w/ those only when there’s a surgical infection that won’t heal from the outside in... we call them wound vacs or is yours a new type of drain vacuum? No fun. Hope your doing okay!Ahhhhhhh nothing. Lol. Recovering.
This is how she looks after last weeks, 5 day Mammoth trip.
Was airing out the tent, forgot to fold up until after dark, then realized it was damp from dew. So left it folded up but uncovered to dry out.

Then this the following day. 2nd Laminectomy but of L2-L4. The first time was L4-S1.
Looking at hitting the dessert in about a week it two, then Turf and Surf 2018 in Nov in the dunes at Pismo. Come join the fun .

Yup. Took the drain out the day prior to release which was collecting all the seepage.
