Went to Panamint Valley Days near Trona Ca. It is a CORVA fund raising event. Then On the way home, the wife and I explored some mining ruins and fresh water springs near Darwin, Ca.

We found a mine that went way back. My wife wouldn't go in, so I wasn't able to reach the end before I needed to turn around for safety sake. I will go back with our 4x4 club and thoroughly check it out.

On a Southern Nevada Land Cruisers multi-day run back in the mid-'80s we stopped to check out a talc mine in Death Valley, but I don't remember which one. It was pretty neat to go back into the mine, I'm thinking we went back about 200-300 feet.

Almost forgot. Here are some pics of wild burros at full run and my next projecto_O lol.

I just installed Wagongear door weatherstripping on my 60. This stuff is great, but closing the doors took a bit more oomph than usual. All info says to let them set against the door for a few days, then they should work perfect.

So it's been a few weeks now, but I drove from the Bay Area to Death Valley, taking Hwy 4 over Ebbets Pass and then 89, camped on Monitor Pass (JUST a bit chilly), hit a deer in the wee morning hours on 395 (thank you ARB front bumper for no damage), went into Saline Valley Warm Springs, went out South Pass to Lee Flats, then headed northwest on White Mountain Talc Rd so that we would come up the back side of Cerro Gordo, at which point we picked up the Swansea Grade trail, exiting back to Owen's Valley and camping below Mt. Whitney. The Swansea Grade trail was really something, off camber with huge exposure, amazing vistas and history like the salt tram. I highly recommend it!

Wow, snow already. Looks like a long winter for you.

Is that a B1-B Lancer refueling?
@beno
Yes it is! And the real bummer is that i didn’t have my camera ready when the B1b’s did a near-supersonic on the deck flyover of us at Warm Springs!!! That was absolutely incredible!

Not cruiser related, though it's the pic in the background. My minitruck gets a little love here and there too! Mounted a lockable box in the bed to free up space in the cab. Looks good I think.
