Wired up power 62 locks on my 60 today. Bought the universal remote for $11.20 off ebay. I switched out the entire latch/actuators with my manual 60 latches. There isn't a readily available attaching point in the linkage to put the actuators on the 60 latch. It can be done with some drilling or welding or some other inventive rigging but was easier just to unscrew 3 philips screws, one 10mm bolt and unhook the linkage and switch out the latch. The wireless unit box sits nicely under the dash panel fuse box. Only wires I needed to run were from the actuators to the white and white/black wires on the box. All other wires coming off the box are long enough to reach ground, power at the fuse, turn signals etc.

I don't know I'm sure the book time for a job like that is only an hour and a half

Book time and the amount of time it takes to get to your project in front of everyone else's are two different things buddy. Automotive machine shops are never fast. It took a year for my engine block and head to get machined.

This is the sign hanging on the wall in the machine shop I use and play around in:

hauled tires, wheeled in the snow and started getting ready to remount a winch. i also fixed my trailer wiring. also checked out /georgs new shop in stockton

Did some Waddington Effect. Pulled the redundant transm to transf oil hose... Yep, both have full condition. Assessed the rear pinion... Nice coat of gearoil on undercarriage, and the driveline flange moves up and down about 2mm. Time to replace the pinion bearing and crush sleeve. Bleh.

You're still alive! :eek::)

Yeah haha still kicking, mostly just in the trails\events section of the forum! Things are a little busy for me, with school and my job.

Yep, check out the trails/events section. He is just moving across stockton to a way bigger shop. The move is happening in the next 2 months or so

Installed an intercooler on my 2H turbo. Tried to keep the piping routing clean. Still small odds and ends left. Have to pull it all out, paint up the mounting bracket and areas cut.

How it looks with the grill on .?

Had to do a little bit of trimming on the back. Also made the support for hood latch and upper grill screw. The bottom parts of the grill were already cut out because I had lights recessed in the grill earlier. No more room for those.

Did you have your AC system working .. it's my idea or there is no condenser there .? wonder I didn't have that much space there !

No condensor in there. When I did the 2H conversion, the condenser was no good, and I hadn't run AC in long time, so just left the condenser out. I converted the AC compressor to onboard air.

Took my 1986 FJ 60 (Lucy) on the dirt roads for the first time since buying to try out the 4wd. Worked great, and loved some mud.
