I believe you Gumby...but I did carry a set of chains in the back, not a set of 38s.

Well, I've been so excited with the new addition
https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj25-owners-group/680945-little-orphan-annie.html
that I've been neglecting TWRECKS. And so, when we had to move it to fit the new baby into the garage, it just groaned and said "I'm not starting..."
So I put the battery charger on it for a couple hours. Later stated it up and let it get warm again. It hasn't been above freezing for a few days here.

Played in the snow...

with the Book Cliff Cruisers. Couple of pigs on this run.

I got my new radiator in on Saturday and tried to find any excuse to drive it places. Tho, I see a little smoke intermittently coming out the driver side pipe and I'm wondering if the over heating took it out on my head gasket. I'll deal with that, I'm just glad isn't a driveway orniment anymore.

Since I just got her home and registered I did the basics over the weekend. New Battery and she was running decently, smelling like... well a pig...

new plugs, wires (rockauto has bosch plugs for $6 OMG), dizzy cap/points/rotor, fuel filter, air filter, replaced some cracked/leaking fuel lines, timing...

Finally got to use the Craftsman Diagnostic computer my dad gave me years ago.

The old pig is running quite nicely now, although she seems to lack power. I may need to do some valve adjustment and tune the carb. Not sure on either as the Idle speed is at about 700-750.

How did you set timing?

Put a new battery in her, thing died on me on xmas eve, figured it was from not driving it for 3 weeks, after driving it around for about and hour, she would start fine, however after letting her sit for a few days wouldnt start again....

Hopefully my Alternator isnt going bad lol

Had a similiar issue back in the day, I kept going thru new batteries, turned out to be the regulator, an inexpensive part.

I think mine stems from the aftermarket cd player someone wired in, wired it directly to a hot so its always "on". It's off, but the power button always stay lit. Need to rewire it to the ignition switch. Might wait until the 5.3 engine swap to do it though.

Cleaned up the gauges and re painted the needles with the wife's red nail polish.I installed them into the new SOR bezel. Real nice fit but if you ever buy one make sure you clip the screws they provide for the brackets a little shorter. I started to screw them down and I felt the screw tip wanting to blow out into the finish side.I backed it out right away and clipped it of about 1/8 and reinstalled it.All is good.I guess the moral of the story is never trust someone else's engineering in a kit. I think I've learned this lesson before but faith always wavers me.
