new plugs, wires (rockauto has bosch plugs for $6 OMG), dizzy cap/points/rotor, fuel filter, air filter, replaced some cracked/leaking fuel lines, timing...
Finally got to use the Craftsman Diagnostic computer my dad gave me years ago.
The old pig is running quite nicely now, although she seems to lack power. I may need to do some valve adjustment and tune the carb. Not sure on either as the Idle speed is at about 700-750.
Had a similiar issue back in the day, I kept going thru new batteries, turned out to be the regulator, an inexpensive part.Put a new battery in her, thing died on me on xmas eve, figured it was from not driving it for 3 weeks, after driving it around for about and hour, she would start fine, however after letting her sit for a few days wouldnt start again....
Hopefully my Alternator isnt going bad lol
Cleaned up the gauges and re painted the needles with the wife's red nail polish.I installed them into the new SOR bezel. Real nice fit but if you ever buy one make sure you clip the screws they provide for the brackets a little shorter. I started to screw them down and I felt the screw tip wanting to blow out into the finish side.I backed it out right away and clipped it of about 1/8 and reinstalled it.All is good.I guess the moral of the story is never trust someone else's engineering in a kit. I think I've learned this lesson before but faith always wavers me.

Isn't speedo supposed to be on the right?
Will the connectors reach if the are flipped?
