Ha!! Last time I was at Joshua Tree was 21 years ago as well. Spring Break my senior year, in '92.

Yeah, I know. Most everyone else went to the beach to chase the ladies. My friends and I went to the middle of nowhere to play on the rocks. Worst part of it all, the ranger found our beer stash on the second day and made us minors poor it all out.

Hmmm.... CRUSHER, you didn't happen to be a ranger back then did ya? ;)

Only hard climb for me at Joshua Tree will be getting up out of my sleeping bag...an increasingly difficult task these days.

Stared at the engine bay...:meh:

Patiently waiting for my trollhole carb and dizzy so I can get this baby running proper!:D

My man!!!...I showed a co-worker your FJ55 truck conversion thread today at work...we both agreed that to anyone not in the know on LC models...your truck could easily pass for a stock model.

Feel proud...very inspirational and quality work you did there.

nicely done sir...nicely done! :wrench::clap:

All the best,
Benjamin

that's no pig...that's a polar-SKUNK:lol:

2nd best upgrade ever!

Maybe the best. Toss-up between power steering and my newly installed 2004 F150 captains chairs. Incredibly comfortable and easy to install. All it took was 36 inches of 2" angle iron, grinder with a cutting wheel, a few bolts/nuts/lock washers and drill press/bit. Ought to be enough material in the Specter cammo front bench cover to make covers for the two buckets to match the rear seat. FJ60 console fits perfectly in between. Downside is the temporary loss of the rear heater but I'll figure something out by next winter.
I'm a happy camper. Imagine tilt and lumbar in a Pig!

yes, but much softer

not a pig, but here's a shot of the first rig through (supercharged 80) that drift. he made it all the way, but it cost him his front driveshaft; both joints in the cv and the ujoint all broke and the ears on his slipshaft yoke bent outwards. last shot shows a bit more scale to the drift. the 40 is still ontop of about 2' of snow

Great pictures! The 80 was lucky, just the u-joint stuff broke. He found the weak link, I guess. How did you guys get him back.
