I remember going to Point Reyes several times in the "summer". Got to be the coldest place in the northern hemisphere in August.

Yep, never know. We live in the valley, summers usually at 100 during days, 80 in evenings, had my wife’s 60th outdoor, hired a private chef, food amazing, but wind came up, all the guests, ran for their cars, came back with blankets, sleeping bags, wrapped up till 1 am, great party

Rest of trip cancelled, wife fell and broke wrist, still in hospital, wrist will need surgery, but will wait till we get home. Grateful she wasn’t hurt worse

Gosh Don. Very sorry to hear that.

Oh man, I hate to hear that. I hope she isn't in too much pain. That's always in my mind when we travel and hike to places. I hate to say it, but our older bodies don't move as fluid as they once did.

Super common injury that doesn’t make her feel any better. If she hasn’t had bone density scan, she needs one.

On another note while letting dogs out to pee in middle of night I tore into those pickles! Those are great, not gonna share with the wife either…

Thanks guys , got a hotel this morning after ER, I have drive to camp ground first thing a retrieve gear, then head home. Appreciate the thoughts and prayers

Sorry to hear. Hope for a speedy recovery. Honestly that is one of my fears having a soft RTT. The rapid getaway for an emergency like a hospital trip or wild fire. Or I get hurt enough to where I cant monkey climb around the Pig to pack it up. Wutevs, that's why they call it an adventure. Not too worried but I do think about it.

Dayum Don! Hope Mrs. Pigeaten will be okay. She didn’t fall off the RTT did she?

She was going down ladder and slipped, scared the you know what out a me, it took about 15 minutes to put tent and awning down, checking her every minute or so
