May Gas Tank Renu take two refurbished gas tank arrived this week. So this weekend I cut off the custom trailer hitch support to allow me to put it in easy like the factory designed it. Put in the tank. Attached the filler hose, two vent hoses, EFI return tube, fuel line, fuel sending unit, then the new pre-filter, new inline pump, and new post filter. Poured in two gallons of gas, checked for leaks, then fired it up for the first time in almost three months. Success!!

50+ mile test drive today to get fuel pumping from tank the Holley Sniper EFI then checked for leaks in the fuel lines and connections. Had to use a two angle wrench to tighten up the primary fuel line right at the tank. It was great to drive the pig again after 3+ months.

So BTW, what was the fix for the bar welded across to the frame rails for your receiver? I saw pics somewhere of you or someone doing some grinding under there but never saw anything of the finished results.

A fellow cruiser guy Mike (has a 40, 55, 60, 80) ground out the welds with an ultra thin diamond cutting blade then we used a saws-all to cut the T part of the brace. Haven’t put it back in yet but we were thinking of a new bolt in design that is also shorter so not in the way.

OK So your a beach bum now ? So how are the head lights ?
