FWIW I've run the squadron sports in Amber and with the speeds Land Cruisers go I don't think you need much bigger. I'm also lower income.
Squadron Sports might go in some stock fog light holes....

@Bogan 80's era film cameras give such a nice raw feel to their pictures. Especially love that mid format look. My stupid Pentax K1000 from high school still shoots some of my favorite pictures.

Nice Baja Designs btw I was worried I'm alone in my fanboydom there. I like how the LP6's fill out the traditional space you'd expect aux lights to use.

Oh man, I shoot great modern equipment (1DX, M10) but my Mamiya 7ii is still my best camera hands down. Those are LP4's FWIW, LP6 wouldn't fit. ;)

Accomplished this week on my BJ73:
- Winched it up! After starting install a month ago, finally got it wired.
- Rear Main / Front Input / Clutch / Clutch Slave. Done by a shop - happy to have it not leaking all over the place. [Delayed the winch install]
- Replaced Flasher from Odd Iron for LED. What a PITA to get to it. Otherwise, LEDs are super bright and nice.
- Replaced Air Filter Housing with one from HZJ79 [Thx @Onur for the tip] to make way for snorkel install.

[Also have the recovery point from Odd Iron, but need to do that ...]

What paint or coating is on your turbo?
I tried the rattle can high temp stuff and even baked it in a kiln as directed but the stuff fell off fairly quickly.

Odd Iron secret paint. :)
I will ask the next time I drop by the shop. If I’m not mistaken its approximately $50.00 a pint.

Put in new exhaust on the BJ73. Replaced stock 1 5/8" with 2.25". After turbo and fuel increases my EGT's were high trying to run 70 on rolling hills. Unbolting the stock exhaust from the downpipe lowered my EGT's significantly. It wasn't too loud, but the fumes did enter the cabin with the exhaust simply dumping into the wheelwell. I tried out my harbor freight "pipe bender" on exhaust tubing with limited success. I ended up using 2X pieces of flex pipe and a 2 Chamber "flowmaster clone" 2.5 in and out $40 muffler from the parts store. I can still hear the diesel and a slight whistle, but it's quiet and not obnoxious. Surely the glass pack turbo muffler would have been a bit quieter, but I like to hear the engine when I go through the gears. I'm hoping to get 4 years from the flex pipe before it rusts out....We'll see.

Do you have the P/N for HZJ79 air filter housing by any chance? Thanks.

I like your bumper and the jack mount.
What is the round-ended object protruding in front of the tire in your photo?

Thanks, its just a shovel, stole the idea from someone else on here. Pretty handy, easy to get to, doesn't rattle.

That looks very nice and clean from the video. Much nicer than mine was. Is it 200K KM, or 200K miles? If it is 200K km I wouldn't worry. I have a 89 BJ73 base model that came from spain. One peculiar thing to look at on vehicles from Spain is the cooling system. Rub your fingers down the fins on the radiator, If they crumble when you push them it is a original radiator and will need recore or replacement. Does the heater work, or has it been bypassed/disconnected with a hose simply looping around the engine. Spain is warm and antifreeze is often not use so there is more corrosion in the cooling systems of their vehicles. This is a good bargaining point as recore or made to bolt in radiator will be $400+ and labor cost. A new aluminum radiator that requires some minor fabrication (drilling bolt holes) can be had for $150. Look at the freeze plugs on the sides of the engine block and ensure they are not leaking, or patched up with JB weld/epoxy putty. (this is easy to repair with new plugs, or the dorman rubber bolt on freeze plugs without removing the engine). For someone who doesn't know it's easy to say "this engine has leaking freeze plugs and I'll have to pull the engine to get at it to replace the plug properly" which is a great bargaining point.
It looks like the original paint. If not look for bondo around the normal rust repair areas(windshield frame, rear fenders and quarters).
People say the LJ is prone to cracking heads, but it has coil suspension so it should ride better and have better articulation off road. The heavier duty landcruiser with leaf springs may survive some types of abuse better/longer,(hitting unmarked potholes or washouts at night at speed on some 3rd world country highway while having the vehicle overloaded or when your survival dictates you have to cross a obstacle to get where you are going so you have to use speed with no care about breaking the truck) but you won't need to subject it to that stateside.
Lastly I would say flush all political correctness from your mind and think up the worst stereotypes/behavior of the culture and people where the vehicle comes from and how they may mistreat or not care for a vehicle or do shoddy repair work. Now go look for those problems.
She looks great but does have 200k miles, which is a lot. Hopefully was taken care of.

Some more de-Proffitt-izing of the truck. Correct (left hand) dash pad and new RedArc gauges.

Out with the H55 / In with the new R151 (Photo courtesy of Odd Iron Off Road) The H55 was actually performing very well and will be cleaned up and put on a shelf for a future project.

How NOT to install an aux fuel tank. This rear tank was removed yesterday, to be replaced with a new OEM version.
It was never plumbed correctly and the transfer mechanism didn’t work (other than that everything was fine 😊)
De-Proffitt-izing a truck takes a lot of effort.

I just can’t believe all the work you are having to do to fix that. Are all his builds like that or was it a transition time where shoddy work was done?
