All I got to do was look at it. We keep getting storms and cold weather which makes working on it harder. I should be out enjoying driving it in the snow. Soon.

Sometimes you can simply look at a Land Cruiser and tell it was a product of a "quality build" and then there are times when you can tell that "quality" was not in the builders vocabulary. This is an example of the screws that were used on my rear taillight assembly. (actually this is one of the better ones, the rest had to be drilled out).

It actually makes the "rebuild" somewhat straight forward. You start with the assumption that everything was done incorrectly or at a minimum done poorly. Nothing that time, talent and $ can't overcome.![]()

Did you replace speakers as well? I did my stereo a little while back only to realize that the speakers are trashed. They seem to be a little more of a pain to deal with.Light at the end of the tunnel .......
Although I don't understand a fraction of the features, Rob's got it working. My last radio was a FM/AM/ Cassette which is more my style.

Speakers are actually good and I plan to add another pair. Should be enough to drown out the Diesel engine.Did you replace speakers as well? I did my stereo a little while back only to realize that the speakers are trashed. They seem to be a little more of a pain to deal with.
Since you are on the topic of speakers....
I purchased a set of speakers to replace the 1993 factory speakers and wasn't sure how to access them.
How do you access the 4" speakers inside the lower metal dash panel ?
